Quick drying nail polish

Can anyone recommend a nail polish that will dry before my three second attention span runs out and I have to go do something besides watch my nails dry? It never fails that I end up ruining them. Thanks!

Thanks for the recommendation. I don't wear polish at all because it usually is chipped the next day. The only time I can ever keep polish on my nails is with fake nails and I'm not doing that any more!

There is a bonding undercoat you can use that would make it stay on longer. Sally's carries it. They often use it for pedicure polish. The natural oil of your fingernails causes the polish to not last long on your natural nail. Since you don't use color, try Sally Hansen nailgrowth miracle (in the gold bottle) lasts a lot longer than clear polish and it dries pretty fast. I use it to strengthen my nails, really works for that but noticed it lasts a lot longer than ordinary clear polish. Then I sometimes put a light color over it and the color lasts a lot longer than just nail polish. Hope this helps.

Keep forgetting to ask you sharon_fl did you see on the painting fourm where I posted to your post there about useing something stripale to hang the wallpaper liner project in your GD room? I posted that my daughter used vaseline to hang border, taked to her the other day and she said you just have to be carefull and not use to much said she spread it all over the border useing a paper towel, and hopefully get it in the right spot the frist time, when putting up so you dont smear the vaseline, also cleanup any that get on the wall right away, blot with a paper towel and wipe with hot soapy water to remove all oil, said the key is useing a very small amout of the vaseline, would warn aginest useing this over flat paint, would soak up the oil, and stain, I am sure. just thought I would tell you incase you missed it. oddie

I save in many other ways, but my one personal splurge is having my nails done every 3 weeks. No pics, but I've stayed with French manicures for the past 10 or more years. I'm very tough on my nails, and French works best for me. Pedicures are more infrequent splurges but oh how I love them (and am getting both tomorrow)! I always go with a pale pink or medium rose color polish on my toes. I'm very conservative when it comes to my nails. No designs painted on. No colors other than clear (French), pinks and very occasionally a red.

Sally Hansen has got to be the best. I use mega shine extended wear top coat which suggest to paint underneath as well as the very tip of the nail. Drys in 60 seconds! You may also apply the mega shine in between manicures to freshen up your polish. I also use diamond strength instant nail hardner by Sally as a base coat. Hope this helps

Thanks for the responses. I'll give these products a try and hopefully my nail won't be perpetually chipped anymore.

deb, even with a quick drying topcoat, it does help to set aside time to let the polish harden. It's a drag, I know.........

I've asked manicurists to apply the polish in a thinner layer of coats; they pile it on so thick sometimes it takes forever to harden.

I haven't timed it, but Revlon ColorStay seems to dry quickly. Another cheaper, quick drying polish is Wet 'n' Wild.

Maybelline makes one called Express Finish. I like it. Like most people here, I just don't have the patience to do nothing while nail polish dries!

Another vote for Maybelline Express Finish. I have several bottles in my favorite colors.
