Botox and Sweating

Has anyone had or looked into getting injections around/under the arm pits to try and control sweating?

Wondering from someone with experience how long this lasts and how painful and expensive the shots are.

RE: Botox and Sweating

My daughter has hyperhidrosis of her hands and feet and we have discussed Botox injections with a dermatologist. It lasts up to 6 months, is expensive-though it might be possible that some insurance will cover it with a diagnosis of hyperhidrosis, and painful since the entire area needs to be injected.

She might decide to do this as an adult but at the time she was 10 or 11 and we did not pursue it.

Do you have hyperhidrosis?
