| I had fake nails in the past and my natural nails were destroyed by the process. The manicurist filed across the flat of my nails thereby weakening my nails - they were broken half way down. I sat on my hands for months while they healed. Do they have to do that for gels? |

| The shine must be removed from the natural nail in order for gel or acrylic to adhere. This doesn't mean they have to grind the nail, just gently remove the shine. How did you remove the acrylics? |
