and I know that you have lots of answers here!!! I am looking for a really good concealer that doesn't look like I painted my face with a skin colored grease pencil!! I am just getting over a really bad staph infection and I have a number of spots on my face that the doctor thinks will probably never fade. I just need something that I can blend over them and hide them a bit.

Hi Jaybird! I'm sorry - I've never come across a concealer that looked good either. But I don't agree with your doc that the spots won't fade. Spots do fade in general, and you can help them along with a good fading cream.

Estee Lauder WhiteLights FX line is good - pricey but each item lasts a long time. I like the night cream.

Thank you Gina....and I REALLY hope you are right!! I need to go and get some foundation, so I'll look for the Whitelights as well!

Mixed up my first batch this past weekend and planted a couple of containers of herbs. It not only looks wonderful, but after just a couple of days they look really happy! I have to admit, I didn't let it sit for the lime to get working, I only gave it an hour or so and couldn't wait!!! I'm so happy to have gotten the goodies and can't wait to have a few minutes to crank out some more and get planting!

You all are right! The neighborhood children have been stealing my markers and so I'm having a tough time remembering names. So I think you're right on Emerald Splendor and Mystical Rainbow. However, Mystical Rainbow still has a plastic tag on it from the grower that says Paige's Pinata. But it's a beautiful flower so I'm not going to complain. And don't you think my first flower looks like Victorian Lace? Someone else posted one here and I thought they looked just alike. Ask Elaine did put up a very lovely flower today. It's about the 8th flower to open and the only one that has not been a dog so far. I'll post it later. I think the cold, wet weather has been affecting the blossoms on most of my daylilies. Many are shrunken, misshapen and ugly. But it is starting to warm up so hopefully I can get some great flowers. Lainey

I've been watering every other day to every day. It depends a lot on whether I actually SEE my poor plants screaming. Definitely getting more soaker hoses for next year... This watering by hand is for the birds! I've only got two areas that I'm still using sprinklers on-my pond area, because it's set up to drain toward the thirstiest plants: Louisiana Irises and azaleas, and my butterfly garden, just because it's so densely planted that it's nearly impossible to tell if I get all of the flowers well enough. I've got two soakers- one for my roses and a few vegetables, and another for along the front walk where my impatiens and hostas live. The rest is getting watered with a wand attached to a hose. When I actually drag myself out into the heat, I spend about 3 hours a day pulling hose around my house and another 4-5 hours running sprinklers and soakers. My plants are fine. It's the dead grass on the outside of the beds that's killing me. DH absolutely refuses to let me water that too though.

Very cute. I had a Border Collie/Kelpie named Jasper who did talk. I was giving my horse $hit away to gardners. One day a guy named Steve came for puck, and Jasper came out barking at him. I went over and Jasper said "He is stealing our manure." Steve was surprised and said, " Your dog said he is stealing our manure. Are you shocked?" I replyed "yes, we call it $hit."

I am getting over a staph infection on my face too. (impetigo) I absolutely LOVE Bare Minerals Bisque. It is a powder concealor that you apply with a brush and it hides everything!

NaughtyKitty....you have my sympathy!!!! I don't think I've ever been in such pain and the swelling made me look ridiculous!! Now that it is gone, the skin still itches..yuk!! Thanks for the idea...I'll see if I can find the Bisque!

Hi there! I use Mary Kay concealer in the yellow color. It comes in a little tube and really works. Glad you're better!
