Comments (8)I picked up 3 bottles of it and they all have the same thickness. I am wondering if that certain color came from a bad batch? I don't ever leave mine opened so I know that can't be it. I have cats and I worry about them knocking it over. Groominggal does your polish have the same consistency as other polishes? Thanks...See Morethin fingernails
Comments (1)My guess is you are not lacking vitamins, its another symptom of menopause with the splitting nails. More likely your estrogen and progesterone levels are the culprit (and calcium, etc.) They affect everything. Your manicures seem to work, so discuss this with the manicurist and quite possibly she will give you some excellent tips on how to maintain them yourself, such as a polish strenghtening choice, etc....See MoreCurved fingernails - Yuck!
Comments (25)Biotin is good for nails and hair. I have always had soft nails that broke or peeled easily and I could tell a difference when I started taking Biotin. Of course it takes a while to tell the difference while the nails grow out. I have also used Nail Tek II, It is for soft nails. It really makes my nails hard and easy to grow because of that. As for the ridges or "fault" lines. .you can lightly buff them out. Actually buffing makes any nail polish, especially the Nail Tek adhere to the nail better. With Nail Tek, you put a new coat on every day for several days, then you take it off and start over, it really does work great. It actuall looks like clear nail polish. You can get Nail Tek at Walgreens and a bottle lasts a very long time. I am not a nail tech. I don't work for Nail Tek. .haha. .Just a woman who has battle nail biting, soft, peeling nails for years and found some good answers. .Debbie...See MoreWednesday's report on Dir_ty Fingernails.
Comments (11)Dottie, I'm sorry your family is going through this. I used to (many years ago) work in a pathology/histology lab at a major VA hospital, running an electron microscope. The reason path reports take so much time is that it really does take a day or more to process the tissue, to prepare it for analysis. It then must be thin-sectioned, stained, photographed, and then finally analyzed by the pathologist. Pathologist might then order more sections from a different area - yada, yada. They aren't trying to prolong your anxiety - really they aren't. But the tissues we prepared for EM took up to two days to infiltrate with the fixative, and then the resin needed to be cured before we could make the thin sections. Some tumors are instantly identifiable as malignant, but not all are. I know you are anxious for the diagnosis, but an accurate diagnosis is much more important than a quick one. I'll be lighting a candle for your family tonight!...See Moreweed30 St. Louis
