push-up bra

Does anyone have any advice for a really good push-up bra? I'm wanting to *enhance* my figure for a really bad Halloween costume. Bad in that it is Fabric-Challenged. So, I'm looking for a push-up that might put me over the top for this one-time use! If you get my drift ....

:) really, really good? do what us old-timers did. get a good underwire bra a cup size too big, and invest in pads- they make them out of some weird gel now. insert them a little to the 'outside' which will force you into the 'super cleavage' position.

the big trick (unless showing bra is part of the intent) will be to keep the foundation garment from showing. depending on your costume, you might need a demi-cup...at which point you might also need a pair of 'petals' or some adhesive to keep, *cough* your cups from running over...

It's amazing - and they sold me some extra pads (no gel types) to give even more *umph*. I think I'm more than a cup bigger, but mind you, this is NOT comfort!!! I'm hoping to be able to cover it with my costume. Next project ...

They just remind me of the panty girdles we used to wear, and I really don't want to go there ever again! Yep me too. A girdle is a girdle no matter what name you give it. I remember when panty hose came out how liberating they were. Same with those horrible over-structured bras stitched into cones or heavily padded. Who would have thunk that girdles and stand along bras would return as something "new" for this generation of girls and women? Sadly they even have padded bras in the little girls department. What message is being sent and who sending it?

I don't get it either. I see the Ahh Bra all the time on tv. I think it's interesting that they don't show how the bra looks UNDER shirts too often. I also think they look like a bra when they stick out under shirts.

Padded bras have been in the girls area of department stores for years. Right next to the bikini panties and other inappropriate attire. Don't think A&F should be singled out. Lily..... DD didn't own jeans until she was in the fifth grade. She wore cords with an elastic waist and twill sport pants with preppy knit tops through the fourth grade. DD was tall and leggy and it was hard to even buy shorts for her that didn't make her look like Daisy Duke. LOL We have a lot of crazy memories of trying to find clothes that fit her long legs at that time.

I know this post is a tad old,but next time you need cleavage,just do a search on what is called a "shelf" bra.
