I've learned to fold the bottom half of my shirt up and over the outside before I put it on so that I don't get white marks on the outside of the shirt. In the summer, I typically use Secret deodorant that turns "invisible" once it's on skin. I like solid deodorants that don't go on sticky and wet.

Listening to all these comments I just want to scream. We have a Whirlpool Cabrio top loader which is fairly new. I noticed the water levels stay pretty low and the spin cycle did not always work at first since we moved in here and just got in this unit.. Sometimes I would put it on a second rinse to get the water out. The washer has corrected itself now and releases all the water however, it appears that everything I wash is pilling no matter what fabric whether it be towels shirts pants socks underwear or separately or together everything is pilling. Zippers and buttons are not any obstacles they have never caused a problem before and they aren't now. Nothing is snagging it. At this rate I will be losing all of my clothing if it keeps on. Most of these clothes I have had for a few years and they always wash up nice they never pill some of these clothes are brand new and pill after just a few Washings.. So my opinion is that these washing machines that supposed to be so modernized are ruining our clothes with the different Cycles in the process that the machine uses to wash the clothes I absolutely hate it. And we the customer, are suffering by buying an item that is useless and ruining our clothes.. in my opinion the general public should not have to go through this crazy task of trying to figure out what is causing this issue I feel it is a manufacturer problem something to do with the way these machines operate and we are stuck with it I'm ready to go buy an old fashioned washer that I know it's going to clean my clothes and not put me through such stress. Any repairman out there or anybody that has figured this out please help!!!! This machine worked in the beginning. I don't think it has to do with detergents, softeners, load limits, water level..... I truly believe it's poor quality workmanship in these machines that triggers this.

I had the same experience as Larsi with the Cheer for Darks liquid. I had crazy suds with it! Also with the Tide Vivid liquid. Tide Vivid powder works fine, and the Woolite for Darks liquid also works well. I'd love to give the Cheer HE powder a whirl but have not seen it in my area, including at Sam's Club. I have heard many times that Cheer powder is low sudsing, but hesitate to buy a box as I wonder if there's more to being an HE powder than low suds--isn't HE formulated to work well in less water? I love the Tide Vivid powder for my whites and dish towels, and I use Tide Total Care for nearly everything else. I don't care for the smell much, but it's not so strong that I can't ignore it. :-) I have a box of regular Ultra Tide powder for those times when I need some extra cleaning punch, but I know it's pretty aggressive stuff so I don't use it regularly on everything. SORRY! I am just seeing this! The Tide Free and Gentle plus Downy adds Cellulase which is designed to remove older damaged fibers or 'pills' on the surface of the clothes to help keep them looking brighter, newer, and feeling softer. Supposedly it helps to remove some dirt deep in the fibers of the clothes as well that may make clothes look dingy. That is a bit of a dispute, though. This version is also HE Turbo, and the regular form doesn't seem to be. This will help a lot with rinsing. I have actually purchased raw sodium percarbonate online. It does work great, but you need to be using true hot washes of at least 140ºF or greater to make sure the sodium percarbonate is fully broken down. As mentioned by wekick, extra rinses actually do help to remove stains because the act of pulling/extracting water from the fibers pulls some extra soil out. As beaglenc mentioned, the Pods have less enzymes and contain OBs, which isn't good. Not to mention they suds like crazy and barely rinse out. The regular liquids almost all contain 4 enzymes now except for the Simply and plain Tide original variants.
