Need cosmetics for my marriage

I am getting married in next month and I need complete range of good cosmetics. IÂve no time left to go out and search for individual products. If you guys can help me by telling where to buy the product that is reasonable also of course, IÂll be grateful to you guys, but please do reply ASAP.

Don't you wear makeup now? you really don't want to change your make up and skin care routine so close to your wedding. Trying new makeup could cause unexpected problems (like breakouts or rashes), and you don't want to look back at your wedding pictures and wonder why you don't look like you. If you really feel like you need different makeup, try a cosmetic counter at your local department store, and go to one like Clinique that should be non irritating. It will cost you plenty for good makeup. My foundation (Pur Minerals pressed foundation) costs $36.00, my lipstick (Clinique) costs $16.00 a tube. I would reccomend either the Clinique High Definition Lashes (expensive) or Maybelline Lash Discovery Mini-brush Mascara (inexpensive). They both work great and have brushes that make it easy to get to the tiniest lashes. Remember not to put mascara on your lower lashes for the wedding, don't want smudges! I also use Covergirl Professional Mascara, not on my lashes but on my brows. I snip the applicator brush in half and apply it gently to my brows. It darkens the eyebrows and shapes them without looking harsh or overdone. You just pick the color closest to your brow color. After applying use your brow brush to shape your brows. I tried this because I could not find brow gel that I saw on a beauty show, I have since found brow gel, but at $25.00 a tube, I think I will stick with the Coveregirl.

Make an appointment at a cosmetic counters at one of the nice department stores. Bring lots of money. They are trained to know what to do for a "bridal makeover". You don't want to do anything extreme.

If it is only the wedding and the photo shoot you are worried about just have your make-up professionally done for that day. You won't end up with a bucket of products you will never use again. Have it done once before the 'Big Day' to make sure you and the artist are on the same page with the look you want. Ditto for you hairstyle. Don't make big changes the day of the event.

what does he mean by "get involved in paying the bills"? Or by "wants to pay the rents and bills all by himself"? Does he want access to the money in the checking account? Does he want to be the one to decide whether you'll pay the gas bill now or make it wait while you pay the phone bill? Does he want to spare you the frustration and burden of paying the bills? Does he want to be the one with control over how much discretionary money is left, or over how much is going to savings? Or is he uncomfortable w/the idea that he pays nothing for the roof over his head? To me all these things require different reactions. If it's the last one, the answer to that is, "get a job that pays you better." And, the way to address that is to perhaps decide, as a team, that you'll invest his salary in training for him so he can get a job that pays more (don't overlook the trades; in the U.S. plumbers & electricians & reliable contractors can make a lot of money--they don't need college, but they do need training). As long as he's actively working at the training, then he IS contributing, bcs he's planning for further out. Bcs maybe he doesn't have any idea of what other job *would* pay him more--maybe he agrees w/ you that his current qualifications won't get him any better-paying job. In which case, it's time to get him some different qualifications--and training is the way to do that. If it's that he wants control, then you have other issues. If he wants access to the money, you may have some OTHER problem. One last thought: You wrote: do you think he wants me for financial support? This worries me for you. Do you suspect this? Is this suspicion coloring your marriage? If I felt it, it would certainly color mine. My DH is not earning much at ALL. He's had jobs, but they've always paid less than mine, and right now he's only doing freelance work from home.. I've never , never had that suspicion you have. I have a strong belief that we are a team, and that I am more to him than the breadwinner. He has areas he contributes which are not financial; I'm able to be the muscle in the money-earning department. But also, I know that he is married to me because he wants to always be with me in our daily life. Also, we both think of our earnings (which we have always kept separate) as "ours." I use my checking account to pay "our" rent with "our" money--that money is only "mine" in that I'm in charge of using it for our family. He pays other bills with "our" money that's in his account. If you don't feel that, I think you have a problem. Even if the problem is only your fear--it's still a problem. Maybe you need to get someone (like a marriage counselor or coach) to sit down with the two of you and help you communicate on this issue.

Thanks to all for shaking my brain loose, It's been detailed to death in the past couple of months. But reading through it all, I ended up with an idea that is workable and low-cost. Open shelving - the cats, the ubiquitous dust, and the expense of getting the shelves correctly hung make it a no-go. What you don't see behind the cabinets is the support stuff they had to install to keep them on the wall. Workmen who can do adobe stuff don't come cheap. The cabinets are deceptively cheap-looking, mostly because the POs were not TKO or even decor sensitive, but they are custom-built plywood with self-closing 3-way adjustable hinges, drawers are plywood. Solidly built, just boring. AnnaC54 - Moldings are easy and cheap. I might do "sombraje" panels (closely spaced twigs) on the fronts of some cabinets elsewhere in the house. The materials are free for the gathering along the river. Sombraje looks like this -- can be natural color or stained or dyed with RIT. http://www.watersongfurniture.com/images/spirit-portal-2.jpg dianalo stencils or stamps? oh yes! A faux tile painted (stamped or stenciled) backsplash would be interesting, using the current blah cream as the grout color and the classic cobalt, rust, creamy yellow and deep green colors of traditional azulejos for the tile bodies. http://www.myrustica.com/media/00/a207919135d5f403d2af0f_m.jpg That could overwhelm the countertops, which are a namby-pamby french blue/pale rust/cream swirly thing that is nowhere near what real slate looks like. Take the place back to its mining town days, when the wooden boxes things were shipped in were as useful as the contents. Add fake board grooves to the doors with my router or with a chisel, paint or stain to get the mixed old wood look, add molding, and stencil or paste reproduction labels onto a few of them. Paint the face frames to set off the "boxes" and the tiles. +++++++++++++ As for the rest of the house, the walls are white, the carpet (over who knows what, probably oak strip flooring, maybe local planks) is elderly pinky-beige plush which will stay there until we're ready to tackle floors, the curtains are cream and the woodwork is pale coffee-cream. So none of the undertones match at all. But the location is great, the layout is very convenient and the price was really good. Patience and paint is mostly what it needs. The thermal properties of adobe, especially when the interior walls are adobe like thses, is everything you have heard of. When it stabilizes at a temperature, it's hard to move it. I had to use the furnace a few nights, but it's been off since early March.

Agent said to replace the carpeting in the worst bedroom and have the rest cleaned. After looking at it today in daylight we decided it all has to be replaced. Cleaning is one thing but with the burn marks, itÂs beyond cleaning. The carpeting was new 5 years ago but in my opinion it canÂt be saved. The agent said spend $500 and then list it $20,000 below the next comparable. But I donÂt see how thatÂs possible. $500 doesnÂt even come close. ItÂs the largest unit, and no other 3 bedroom has come on the market for over 3 years (so that would be pre-downturn prices). Carpet is $2000, painting is another $2000. Beyond that itÂs hard to know what is worth doing. ThatÂs why I thought IÂd ask here about what kind of cosmetic improvements make a difference and which buyers donÂt mind doing or would rather do. If it were me buying IÂd rather fix it up my way, but I donÂt know how common that sentiment is. And ron6519, if you couldnÂt be helpful, why did you bother to reply? Excuse me, we didnÂt ignore it! I asked for practical advice, not condemnation. Everything was maintained as well as possible. Especially considering the tenants were elderly (and quirky) and did not want to be disturbed. Even replacing a ceiling light fixture required making numerous appointments which then were broken because one or the other one were sick or not home. Replacing the hot water heater they turned the installers away 3 times. They smoked (and said they didnÂt) and set the place on fire, more than once, it looks like. They took down all the smoke detectors. The extent of the wear and tear we did not know until we got in there last week and finally saw it empty. They had so much furniture you couldnÂt see the walls. What we spent on new appliances alone over the last 4 years, added to expenses, exceeded the rent we collected. Next time you have an elderly tenant and let them rent below market value (because you feel sorry for them), let them pay late every month (because you feel sorry for them), and can seldom get in there to do anything, letÂs see how well you can keep your place up. klaire2001, thanks for being constructive. Painting the cabinets sounds promising. If we can get the tacky damaged varnish scraped off that might be a good option.

Can you change the tub and sink fixtures to chrome? That would help to lighten it up. Even if you can only replace the sink faucet, the tub one would be hidden by the shower curtain. I like the white mirror and don't think it needs to be replaced. You could also do chrome hardware on the cabinet. Do what you have planned to the tub before you consider painting the cabinet. I would not paint the counter. Your flower pictures have a touch of neutral tones that might work with the cabinet and counter color. Good luck!

I can imagine what it feels when you are going to get married and you donÂt have good set of cosmetics or even you donÂt have cosmetics. IÂve been thru all this in my marriage. But thanks to my friend he got me some good cosmetic and they were fabulous. When I asked her the name of the shop, she told me that she had shopped online from Buy Organic Skin Care. I saw that they have good collection of cosmetics and other products. So donÂt waste thinking were to get from just have a look and see if you can get the things you are looking for.

scottscott, what a coincidence, you live in Armenia and so does john.smith who just posted the Organic site. I'm puzzled though, the site does not ship outside the UK...........

I think Neutrogena is generally a good line of cosmetics and is not too expensive compared to department store products.

Go slow with it to be sure you don't have any allergies to the new products.

Do you have an Ulta near you? Someone there would probably be happy to help you select a few things. Maybe Sephora does the same thing. Choose a foundation which matches your neck. Eyebrow pencil which matches your hair. If you think mascara might make your eyes itch, ask about one which is hypoallergenic.

alot of women rave about MAC cosmetics and to use the loreal sublime sunless tanner under makeup. I love this stuff!
