Halloween Hair Help

For Halloween I want to have wild hair. I can make it look wild pretty easily, but I want it to stay that way all day. My hair is shortish but wavy. What's a good hairspray that will hold it?

I'm going as Mrs. Frizzle the science teacher in the Yellow School Bus series for elem. school children. She has wild curly hair that sticks out a lot.

Get Shaper Spray Super Hold. I can't get a comb thru it so I just use regular Shaper for every day, but if I want a do to stay in place for the entire day I use Shaper Super Hold. Also, lots of product. Look for something that says super holding gel, etc. Actually the best gel product is Dipity Do from back in the day. If you want to further curl your hair use the gel on wet hair and set with either old fashioned curlers, foam rollers or velcro and let dry or dry with blow dryer. Spray it before you take the curlers out too. Use the product and the spray and you should be good to go. Just make sure you let the spray dry before you start to arrange your hair. If it isn't dry you will make a mess. Cute idea.

Ok..very good! Is shaper available in the supermarket?

I feel like I should do a practice, but I hate to be stuck with that hair the practice day! LOL! Maybe I'll forget that idea.

Thanks a lot, Labmomma.

If you want totally stiff hair that stands straight up mix a bit of elmers glue with water. Apply by hand exactly how you want it and blow dry. It's water based and washes right out.
I did this to spike my hair before going to the Rocky Horror picture show every saturday night.
