Wow! I used the Blinc mascara yesterday for the first time. The only problem I had using it is that if you curl your eyelashes (and I do) you have to do that before you put mascara on, which is the opposite of my normal routine. The only problem with that is that the lashes are closer to my lids then and I got a little bit of mascara on my lid. But a wet swab cleaned it up with no smearing. Sometime during the day I totally forgot that I was wearing the new mascara, so I forgot to check before I went to bed to see if the claim that it stays put with no smearing was accurate. And I'm a bad girl - I often go to bed with my makeup on, which I did last night. I wash my face first thing every morning, even before I shower (helps wake me up). Well, after I washed (still not remembering I had used the Blinc) when I looked at the towel I saw a couple of black squigglies and I remembered the Blinc. So I washed my face again, lightly rubbing my fingers across my lashes. Like magic, the tubes all came off and there was no residual smudges you sometimes get with regular mascara. Jamies, you don't "pull" on your lashes at all, so there is no worry about losing lashes. I think I'm going to like this product.

LOL Faron! Sue, you, rock star, you! LOL I originally bought the purple for my sister (who has much lighter coloring than I do and who wears a lot of purples). I ended up keeping it because the woman told me how nicely it would work with my green eyes and purple glasses. I don't see it-- but I do notice it on others and in photos. All that said, I put the purple aside because I love love love the le volume mascara and I got that in noir .. did you get the le volume or inimitable? Too funny, cosmetic counter people/artists (or whatever you call them) are always yelling at me to use stronger moisturizers and to give up my oil-free makeup. "You are using products you used in your 20s.. " a gentle way of saying, "you are SO not in your 20s anymore!" lol I have some heavier duty moisturizers now but I absolutely hate oil+ makeups. The texture, smell and breathability. Sue, you might want to give this one a try-- it's an ultra-light foundation but it gives good coverage for my aged peri-menopausal skin. It can also be put on in "layers" for more coverage. (link below) Boop.. I've never thought the foundations were too orange at Chanel (though definitely some of the lipsticks and blushes are). There are two bases available-- rose and beige. The rose is def had too much pigment for me-- and it did lean orange despite it's name. I wear the beige base which I much prefer because it neutralizes the red in my skin tone and let's me add color back where I want it. It is SO important to get a good color match. I had a terrible time finding this foundation when Chanel discontinued my old one. I tried other brands, tried a few chanel counters. I actually even returned one which I have NEVER done before. I wear beige 40 which is on the darker end of the medium scale. I am not dark complected but i have *that* much color in my skin. Anything lighter looks like i am made up to play the corpse bride! I also want to give a shout out to whomever got me to try their lipsticks again. I LOVE the coco rouge shine. It is everything you said it was.. I wasnt in love with the colors my store had but i see chanel has a few discontinued colors that should work better. I would think that if eye makeup is always flaking and smudging, that you are probably starting with an eye that isn't ready for makeup. Maybe you have some oil or moisturizer on your face. You should first put a setting powder on your eye to make sure it's not oily. I always start with a concealer above and below my eye and then set it with translucent loose powder, then I apply the eyeshadow, the liner and then mascara. I never have any flaking or smudging at all.

Smhinnb, maybe that's what I did wrong-I didn't comb them out after getting wet because mine looked good for about a week and then got clumpy and didn't last very long. I also wasn't told to use oil free products. I never made it to the "fill" stage because they started bugging me-especially after my own eyelashes were growing-some of the extensions were growing too, which made then too long, so I had to eventually pull them off, which left me with hardly any of my own lashes. They also started sticking straight out very stiff-like they lost their curl. I did buy a tool to curl them (since you can't use regular eyelash curlers) but couldn't get it to work properly. But, it doesn't sound like I took care of them correctly. I have done Latisse for a couple of years now and love it. I have baby blue grayish eyes and and have never had any side effects. Also, I was told that you use half dose of what was recommended to use on (tiny) bottle and it worked wonderfully, so lasted a lot longer. eta: addt'l info
