for the bikini area? Do you find that any old disposable one will do, or are the more expensive ones better?

Venus is the best I've found. I've tried several, including the Venus disposable. The regular Venus is better than the dispoable. I also like the Bikini Zone products.

I love my Venus Vibrance for this area. I've had it about a year. Still on the original battery, but I buy replacement heads regularly. One day I heard a very strange strange loud sound coming from my bathroom. I looked around, found my Venus Vibrance in the bottom of the tub (dry) but turned on and buzzing.

Why does the razor vibrate? Or am I missing something here.....

RE: what's your favorite razor......

I really don't know how the Venus Vibrance actually vibrates, there's a compartment in the handle for a small battery. You push an on/off button on the end and the whole thing vibrates. It's just a steady buzz, like an electric razor. You can't see anything moving. Just that the vibration feels good on the skin and I find I can get close without razor nicks. Enough information?

For me, the Venus was dangerous. I cut myself repeatedly, whined a bunch, threw the thing out, and went back to my old beloved Mach 3, which is unfailingly good to me. Yes, I know it is a man's razor, but it does great on girls too!

...another vote for the Mach3. Nothing I've tried compares.

I saw both in Consumer Reports and my local newspaper that Mach 3 is better than Quattro(4 blades) or Fusion (5 blades). These silly companies keep adding blades. . .

I've used Flicker since jr. high. It's easy to handle and rarely nicks. Has 5 blades, you just turn a little mechanism to pull up the next blade. Hard to find now---I get mine through drugstore.com

I LOVE THE INTUITION. No need of shaving creme, leaves no cuts, burns, or bumps. So easy, but so EXPENSIVE. I wish it would go down. They want $8 for 3 refills and thats at Walmart (the cheapest place around). I like it the best though.

Another vote for the Intuition. Yes, the blades are too expensive, tho.

Let's gripe about the price of the blades for these razors!
