Eyelid sagging

My skin is in pretty good condition for my age (38) but my eyelids are starting to droop. Is there a cream, product, magic dust, anything that will help tighten the skin above the eyes? Below my eyes is fine, and my crow's feet are minimal, I am just starting to look tired all the time and my eyes aren't as wide as they used to be.

My uncle had sagging upper eyelids. He went to a doctor,who did plastic surgery and fixed them. But it was not a cosmetic procedure,it was necessary because his sagging lids were causing vision problems. Due to this,it was fully covered by his health insurance.

Thanks Jannie, but I am looking for alternatives to surgery. I wouldn't qualify for that anyway, mine is definitely more of a vanity problem than a vision one!!! Thanks though!

I have seen some eye creams out there but I don't know which would be best for helping to tighten the upper lids.

I have always used an eyelash curler, and I've used falsies. Mine is just a Revlon brand and I think it needs to be replaced, I've had it several years now. I'm of Italian descent, and I have a lot of thick dark lashes, and when I don't wear mascara people will ask what brand I use, so I can get away with not using it at all. But on a regular basis I usually don't leave the house without mineral make up foundation, mascara and lip-gloss. It just makes me feel more put together. (just like a matching bra and panties- but that's a whole different topic-lol) I have a friend who is blonde, and she had the falsies put on professionally, well when they finally started falling off, they took her blonde lashes with them, so she has no lashes at the moment! Beware of falsies!

From www.Zaditor.com I have tiny little bumps on the bottom of one of my eyelids. They are not painful or itchy. I'm 22 years old, eat well and exercise regularly. I do have allergies... Could this be what's causing them? Actual raised bumps on the eyelids are not associated with usual allergic eyes (allergic conjunctivitis). They could be related to chronic eye rubbing, from any cause. Eczema, or dermatitis of the lids, could also be responsible. Rarely, large bumpy deposits can form around the lids due to high cholesterol levels. If the problem is bothersome, I would recommend consulting a dermatologist (skin specialist) or your eye doctor. Eyes sagging...hey, you're over 21! Most folks have one eye that sags more than the other. Welcome to "maturity".... Are you on meds for hi-cholesterol? Get your cholesterol checked.

Thank you all so very much for all of these suggestions! You've given me quite a few things to look into. I am a "member" of Makeupalley.com, so I'll definitely be checking out the products mentioned here to see if I can get even more info on them. I never use moisturizing eye creams, because they only exacerbate my oilslick issues. I guess I'd rather have this problem than extremely dry skin, but sometimes it just feels like a curse when what I put on my face in the morning has slid right off (or into the wrong places) by lunchtime. I don't think I'd ever go the route of permanent eyeliner though. My tattoos are in places where sagging isn't going to be a major problem (or if I do get saggy calves, I can always cover them easily!) -- but I think I'd worry too much about my eyes drooping and the permanent eyeliner being slightly out of whack over time! LOL! Oakley, I am now the proud owner of two bottles of Cashmere Mist, as well as the body lotion and I love it! I had ordered my first bottle online, and then a coworker brought in a gift set that she wanted to advertise on our company bulletin board (she received it as a gift and didn't want it) - so she let me have it for $30, which was half price. A bargain! I can see this being my signature scent for some time to come. It's very soft and fresh, without being the least bit overpowering. I like coconut oil to moisturize lips, skin, hair, stir fry veggies, make curries, and husband uses it to pop popcorn. From what I've read, the problematic fats are the ones which are partially hydrogenated (trans fats) and, according to medical research, cause all kinds of health issues. They were widely used in prepared foods, but the FDA banned them a few years ago and many companies have replaced them with other oils.

Avon has this new product for eyes. ANEW CLINICAL Eye Lift At 28.00 it's not a bargain but beats the heck out of the cost of an eyelift. I'm going to give it a try.

I just found this board and noticed your post. I've found facial exercise to be really good for eyelids. Mine were getting droopy and crepey several years ago. I started doing exercises and it made a huge difference. My lids themselves feel thicker and stronger. It also has helped circles under my eyes and "puppet lines" between my nose and mouth and between my mouth and chin.

I researched several programs and finally bought a video from www.flexeffect.com. You can go to their website and read a lot of info about it.

I have a hard time keeping myself in the habit of doing these everyday, but when I do, I really notice a difference in my face.

I use this - I think you can get it elsewhere, but I get it from QVC. You can feel it tightening the skin as it dries. If I put on too much it really feels tight. I only use it on my eyelids, but I guess according to the description you can use it on other parts of the face too.
