Young Looking at 41!

I know some people would not think of this as a problem in this youth-obsessed world. I am 41 yrs old and look extremely young for my age that it is almost embarassing when I tell people my age. In fact, I got proofed for a drink recently at a concert. I think I dress appropriate for my age but I am petite which just adds to the "youth" look!! Any tips would be appreciated.

I can't believe this is really a huge problem for you! But, if you are really concerned with looking more "serious" here goes. Don't shop in the Junior Department, head for the Petite Department. Buy more tailored, structured clothes as opposed to cotton jersey tops, etc. If you wear long hair, don't wear it in a ponytail or cut it to shoulder or just below shoulder length. I can't think of anything else right now.

Lucky Nan..age will grab you soon enough. I'm 46 and would die to be asked for my ID. Go with it and enjoy, it won't last forever. Signed GREEN WITH ENVY!!!

I think it is a reasonable concern. Pale fresh growth and newly planted... Paying attention and catching something early that may be easily resolved. Could be iron deficient. Overwatering...? Does nj stand for NewJersey? We've had some odd weather. Hot days, cool nights. Overcast for a few days and no rain. Rain predicted all day today, but no rain. Humid and zero wind. I potted some 'hobo' extras and getting similar looking pale centers. I've not watered at all but they are damp... (i'm not a container gardener at all but had some extras i thought i'd try) I realize you are well planted in soil. I think they will bounce back next week but if it gets worse, hold off on any water and maybe foliar feed. If they keep turning pale, more than now, i might look into iron deficient. -just a thought and i am far from many others in knowledge...but just noticing similar on a few of mine...

And here is Grandma (me) with 4 week old baby brother, Kieran! It did my heart good to go cuddle grandbabies for the weekend. There were a few pains, knowing that I'm missing one (Maison) but I know we'll be reunited with him one day, and in the meantime, I'm going to have all the cuddle time I can with the grandbabies we still have with us.

Thank you fireduck, is there anything i should do or will it go away and not harm my plant? ALSO, I've seen your posts and you seem to be very knowledgeable about avocados and im sort of jealoud hehe. I want to pick your brain a bit.... Have you ever tried winter mexican avocados before? The lady at the nursery recommended it. It's my first avocado tree and from zills. Is there any special care for avocados? Different watering habits? Certain fertilizers or feeders? Anything I can do to get it growing quicker? Im not sure about the growing habit weather it's fast or not. Also it bloomed this year with flushes but it all dropped. It that normal? Thank you!

It probably won't hurt the tree as far as having a few less branches is concerned. But depending on your location and tree orientation, the higher you go with the branches, the more sun exposure the sun will have on the ground in that area. There will be more heat and dryness. I always like to raise a crown over a period of time, maybe two seasons. This allows both the top leafy parts and the bottom root system to adjust to the abrupt change they experience by doing this all at once. Be sure to use a layer of good wood mulch around the tree to help protect the root system from the sun.

You are joking ,right? Girl, enjoy your luck and don't complain about looking young - or before you know it the "Wrinkle Goddess" will say - "hey, we forget her!" LOL

I like to tell people that I'm 10 yrs OLDER than I am, that way they think I look so good for my age! So far, this works for me. hahaha!
