some people have ugly feet.I have one big ugly toe.I came home and glued a fake nail to that toe.I now can wear open toed shoes.Done professionally it would look a whole lot better.

Oh my god...I'm so pathetically excited to hear about fake toenails! The nail on my left big toe was permanently cauterized to keep it from becoming ingrown (I have extremely curvy nails). It looks freakish, though, and I always joked that I'd have a fake nail made of teakwood (like a wooden leg, you catch my drift?). I think it's so hilarious and yet fabulous that my dream is now a reality (except not in wood version, thank god). How funny...

If they can make everything else why not fake toe nails.I just have one toe done but you should see my manicurist feet. She has all of her toes done and it looks great.I pay to have my nails done but the one toe I do myself. Some times it pops off so I keep the crazy glue handy.I love it.I'm a shoe freak and love open toe shoes but refused to buy until just lately.

I first saw this about 15 years ago, it is quite common in urban areas. I had it done on one of my big toes when, right before my beach wedding, I stubbed my toe and the nail tore. It is really great for women who don't have the prettiest toes!

| This pic has been circulating the internet for years, it is definitely to the extreme with fake toe nails, but this was a fairly common thing when I lived in downtown St. Louis about 15 years ago! Women would keep their toenails long like this and just wear sandals or go barefoot. I couldn't do it!

well this is the pitts.I thought fake toe nailswas something new.All these years I kept my toe in hideing and I could have unvailed my feet.Better late than never. One more tip for you.If you have earrings that are not really gold.put clear nail polish on them and you can fool the public forever.

EEWWW to those ghettoes - are you sure people actually wore those in public and this isn't a doctored picture? I recently damaged my toe nail and while it was growing in the pedicurist just put the polish on my toe nail bed - and it lasted between pedicures fairly well. You wouldn't notice it unless you were looking closely. Something cheap to try before moving onto fake toe nails.

As someone who cannot stand to have my toenails the least bit long and has gotten up in the middle of the night to trim them I could never stand to have the weight of a fake one. I do think they are great for someone who has severe damage to a big toe.
