Wow! That's a lot of bulbs, Donna! I'm not familiar with lycoris. 4 bulbs into 60 in 4 years? That is a lot of increase! I hope you have a lot of areas to move them into, but, remember that Breck shampoo commercial? And she told two friends, and she told two friends.... [g] Some of my daffodils, in another area, have the neck sticking out of the ground too. I'm excited because it is my Fragrant Rose Daffodils that I am very fond of. I didn't know they would multiply like this. I wish I had a larger garden that I could plant some distance away from the house, in a meadow and have a huge display and not have to think about the dying foliage that far from the house. I was just looking at my front bed and there is a Pennisetum next to a Nepeta Walker's Low and I thought adding some bulbs underneath that Nepeta foliage has to hide it well. Plus if I remember right, the Nepeta gets going pretty early. I also see an ornamental oregano that is sprawling along the ground that might hide some daff foliage.

I have never had a perm or colored my hair. As a child I had pigtails and I wore them on my daughter. I still think that's a cute look. In HS I had a very long and high pony tail and then got a pixie. I had the Mia Farrow really short cut and for a brief time ,the shag. But I went with a blunt cut after that and for decades I have kept that style. It used to be real long and gradually got shorter but it's still longer in front than the back..the classic bob. But with humidity I have corkscrew curls which I hate so I have to blow dry. I have not been to a beauty shop in 30 years.

I haven't shopped in dollar stores for a few years now. Simply because it is imported items of a low value, which reflects in the price. Some items are counterfit to look like brand names (even if they aren't brands WE recognize). Others may have quality issues - such as toothpaste that contains antifreeze. Some of the decorative items are cast offs from factories (where workers are paid pennies per day and there are no standards for safety for worker nor consumer) or the makers are paid almost nothing as piece work. Again, there is no way to know what materials are being used and how the items are being made. I don't want to support the exploitation of a cheap workforce that is being abused, simply to get a little vase with a crooked hand painted design for a dollar. Local companies cannot compete with these cheap products so they undermine our economy. They also underscore the idea that it is cheapness and quantity and not QUALITY workmanship that should be a priority. We are a disposable society. Go ahead and throw it out, you can get a new one at the dollar store. With rising prices and sinking wages I know that there are many who feel they cannot afford NOT to shop in the dollar store, and I commiserate. But for me, it was a choice I made for myself, my family, and my community. And I am sticking with it ROFL.

Deviled ham is probably somewhat akin to Hormel's Spam. It was pretty good eating from what I recall. My grandmother always had it out at the family's old lake house, which harkens back to few other things I remember now from summers in MN at the lake: screen porch wood docks Chris Craft large hanging wicker swing and furniture bamboo cane poles cork bobbers Water Gremlin split shot black dacron fishing line worms in a coffee can metal minnow buckets metal clip stringers and metal fish baskets Lowrance green box fish lo-k-tor Mitchell spin cast; Ambassador 5500; Johnson Century; Zebco 202... Bass-O-Reno; Lazy Ike; Daredevil; Hula Popper; Gapen Ugly Bug, Crappie Queen, Doll Fly; Beetle Spin; Lindy rig; Prescott strip-on spinner... and lots of fishing, fish cleaning and fish fries. Crisco and beer batter (Schmidt, Blatz, or Hamms). Still have and use a lot of this stuff and it never gets old…except the cooking oil and beer is changed up from time to time! I haven't seen or had deviled ham in awhile, but this thread will have me looking it up again.
