Well, my main borders are still a work in progress, and I know it at least! Since I didn't order my roses this past spring, I've been doing a lot of second-guessing over the past weeks since I got my arbor in. I *think* I have made up my mind, but we'll see if the plan survives reality, lol. But, so far, instead of Quadra climbing roses plus clematis on the arbors, it will be just clematis (Clair de Lune). In the freed-up space, I will move some existing echinacea purpurea on one side, and spread out my agastache on the other side. I'm still planning on getting Lichtkonigen Lucia, Lavaglut and Tuscany Superb. But, instead of Ambridge Rose (too wimpy of a pale peachy-pink, I think), I want a pink peony in that spot. And, I want to infill with some alliums behind the peony and my bridalwreath spirea. I'd been planning to eventually move my lilac that I'd put in the border as a holding spot, but it seems pretty happy there, so I think I will just leave it there. The big question is whether my White Dome Hydrangea will survive - it seems to be thirstier than most of my other plants. I recently moved a self-seeded cosmos that I think was not helping matters by crowding it and stealing water, and I think it is finally bouncing back. I also want to divide some stachys to fill some empty spots, and maybe move some of my iris to a corner spot to give my lilac more space. Oh, and I want to add some daffodils. Whew! But, other than hoping to plant a peony and some bulbs this fall, I want to be done for this summer! Of course, I did just move some marigolds that had needed thinning...I'm not sure if they are going to survive or not, but they needed to go, anyhow, so if they survive in their new home, that is just an added bonus.

Ookay, tomorrow's the day! I'm going in the A.M. and I'm really pretty excited (I'm really serious, all kidding aside). I hope I'm not expecting miracles, I know I'm too old to believe in a miracle makeup, but oh what the heck. I'm going to a wedding next month in Sweden and I'd love to look at least half as good as those Swedish beauties! Ken just went to the wine store today, so I won't be needing to make a visit anytime soon, but I'll be sure to report in when I do, LOL.

Well an "itch" I could deal with, this BURNED like my face was on fire. I had to wash it off. I had previously tried mineral make-up at the counter of one of the BE stores and it did sort of itch a bit and 'felt funny' all the way home. Even with the cheap stuff I bought and tried back in May I was acutely aware of something being on my face, sort of 'itchy'. Even if I use the mineral make-up without scrubbing my face first I am thinking that this stuff ain't too safe for the eyes or lungs should any find their way there. I've already decided to toss it and go back to using pancake make-up as a foundation. Just a 'heads-up' to anyone who may be concerned with contact lenses.

with all make up you need to use a good primer...especially for bare essentials makeup. i have been using this makeup for years and my mom also uses it...once you get used to starter kit then you can start adding to your collection... for older skin a sprinkle of water on your kabuki brush then swirl and tap in you bm foundation this will go on like a liquid foundation which is recommended for older skin. you can also do this with your concealer brush slighty wet it and with your foundation this will be your concealer. bare essentials do loads of blushes so pick your colour and use this on your cheeks with some water...cream blushes are best for older skin ...you can also mix your blush with vaseline and this will be a lovely lipstick with a shine....i got the bare essentials away we glow set which has a lovely tub of turn on which is a highlighting powder...this is great for your inner eyelid and your eyebrow bone to lift your eyes...you cant go wrong with bare essentials but you can add these tips to make this makeup work for you...
