Boucle--winter only?

| I need some fashion advice...I have a boucle dress that looks vintage--it has a V neck, sleeveless, just below knees, fitted bodice, flared skirt. Anyhow--is Boucle just for winter? It is a heavier fabric, but before I pack it away with my winter clothing (getting ready to move and trying to finally get organized!), I wanted to double check.

| It's just so hot. I don't follow fashion "rules" and I live in SoCal, where we don't have any rules to begin with! But I can't imagine wearing it in warm weather. |
