| what does it mean when skin looks bruised in an area that has contact with yellow gold? I seem to remeber it being a deficiency in something but I can't remember what.

| Your skin is probably discolored from the alloy, usually copper, silver, or nickel, used to strengthen the gold for jewelry use. The lower the K number the less gold it has in it. 10K gold will have a large amount of another metal or metals. |
