That heat has caused my hair to frizz and break off, so now I just wait at room temperature until I'm "done." I clerked for a judge and worked in a very large law firm and I am certain I wore ponytails in the office and in court -- BUT, if I wore a ponytail for work, it was likely to be at the nape of my neck, not higher than mid level, and I would have worn some kind of barette, clip or an adorned band that made the ponytail look more finished. A short scarf tied around the base. A wide elastic that matches your hair color might work, but not colors or plain rubber bands, no scrunchies, nothing you would wear to the gym. Neither DH nor I would consider a comment about your hair -- at least as far as anything you've said, to be harrassment. It wouldn't seem to be relevant to the evaluation of your performance and it doesn't sound like it was a negative in that regard, but more of what was intended to be a construcive suggesion for things you could improveIf you look like you just came from the gym or fell out of bed, it will have a limiting influence on even a stellar preformance. And it's something you can easily do something about -- not like she told you your nose was too big or your bust too small. If you are in the public eye for the company and image is important, then you're better accepting the comment as it was apparently intended. Don't let some of the comments here get your knickers in a twist -- just take an honest look at the ponytail you are wearing. Search magazines or the internet for some ideas on how to dress up the look. Something as simple as learning to spplit the base and flip the ponytail through to create a horizontal twist at the base might be all you need. I ordered the shampoo, conditioner, and primer. I got the travel size of the conditioner because I use a lot less than the shampoo. Still, this stuff is REALLY expensive. I've used the shampoo and conditioner twice and see no difference in my hair. I used the primer once and hated my hair that cycle. It could just be one of those days when I would have hated my hair anyway, because that's how it goes with me. For volume at the crown I like Aquage Uplifting Foam at the roots. I'm getting a much needed haircut tomorrow and once the shock of that has worn off I'll give the Virtue products another shot. At that price, I need to love what they do to my hair, because I can spend half of what I did (probably even less) and get good results.
