By suit..is it a skirt suit or a pant suit? I would probably try to get some cream colored pumps that match and wear nude colored hose with it. It's not too early for cream colored shoes -- you can wear those year round. I'm pretty sure it's just plain white that you should stay away from. You could also try some tan shoes that are in the same color family but just a darker shade. Theorectically you may even be able to pull off black if you accessorize correctly. Add a black necklace and purse, etc... It's hard without seeing the outfit. I'd probably try to stick with nude hose though especially for business.

I'm not sure - but I'll list them and see: 2 pair basic pumps for work (black/navy) 1 pair black loafers (work/casual summer) 2 pair black ankle boots (work/asual winter) 1 pair knee-high snow boots 2 pair dress flats (silver/brown) 2 pair "dressy" heels (black/cream) 1 pair tennis shoes 1 pair yard loafers 1 pair flip flops for summer 1 pair black vinyl knee length heeled platform boots (for Halloween type dress up) 14 total, looks like. I'm okay with that - the "dressy" heels and flats I hardly ever wear, but I do need to keep them for those rare occasions I need a nice shoe in a specific color for a holiday party or some random event. I never wear the navy pumps, so those could probably go, but it's nice to have the option should I want it, and they're in good shape. I wear the heels out on a pair of pumps and ankle boots every year (due to daily wear, I'm sure), so I generally buy a new pair once per year, toss the old ones. This year I might see if I can just have them re-heeled though...

Congratulations to your family on the upcoming wedding. As for the dresses, choose the one you feel fits you best and is most comfortable and flattering. For the plum one, what about grey or taupe shoes? I think black would stand out too much unless the plum is very dark, and I don't like white shoes but that's just me. What kind of shoe are you thinking of? Low or high, sandal or enclosed? There are some great online shoe sites like zappos or shoebuy, and even if you don't buy there (although I think they both have free shipping both ways), you might get some ideas browsing online.

Oh I am all for a good price if I can get one-- but not at the cost of comfort and (for me) security. I love the pella moda pair but wouldn't be able to wear them. The Badgley Mischkas are adorable but I don't see a flat with this dress. I am just thrilled with how perfect the pewter color looks.. it's not what was in my head for "pewter" so I feel a bit dumb. I was shocked to learn that the dress will arrive today. I didn't put a rush on it but it's shipping from a warehouse in a nearby town so woohoo!
