can you take another artificial nails question pls

| I have had acrylics in the past and while i loved the look, i dont like the way it starts to grow out underneath the nail. but that being said, i am thinking of trying gel nails this week. i leave to go out of town for 2 weeks and would love to have my nails look nice. question - can you use color polish with gel nails?
are gel nails better than the "solar" i am hearing about?

| Yes, you can use color polish with gel nails. Solar nails is actually a product name. The type of nails referred to is just a french manicure look done with acrylics or gels. The white acrylic/gel is laid down first at the tip, then the clear or pink acrylic/gel is laid over that. No polish required. |
