 o
Hems flip up

Posted by Chan (My Page) on

On my heavy-weight pants (like jeans), the pant leg hem flips up. I don't know why or how, but they're like that on almost all my pants (luckily, usually just on the back where I can't see it, so I don't really think of it!). They get so badly turned that even if I press back down, they don't stay that way for long! Now, I have two new pairs of jeans and want to know if there's anything I can do to prevent this from happening. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Chan

My hubby's denim shorts do the same thing--only all the way around. I'd be interested in knowing how to prevent this as well!

the only thing I can think of is to stabilize the hem from the inside with 2-sided fusible web, and something heavy like denim- with the grain going in the opposite direction.

Try washing them inside out. If that doesn't work, fold the hem up inside the leg, mist with water and press.
