I grow many of the older Austins. In fact, I find myself to have an affinity with, if not a prefernce for some of the earlier English roses. My rose garden is just starting to bloom in the past two days. Many of the earliest blooming roses are the older English roses. The reds seem to be all opening, including; The Squire, Prospero, Wenlock, William Shakespear (Original) and William Shakespear 2000. My two plants are covered in buds and opening now. Less of an old rose character and more musk like though with large blooms. But when he blooms, he's worth the trouble, 5 inch dark crimson blooms that take your breath away. Whirlpool tubs are not supposed to be used with bubble bath, but air jet tubs can. Our bain ultra came with some samples and I've since ordered more. They publish a "wellness guide" that includes a page of what essential oils are supposed to do as well as other bath additives such as tea or algae. They also say, re essential oils: For maximum benefits Only 8 to 15 drops of essential oil are enough for a regular bath. To ensure even dispersion in the water, mix the essence with a teaspoon of one of the following emulsifiers: powdered milk, shampoo, honey, vegetable oil, or liquid soap. Don’t forget • Essential oils are very concentrated. Avoid all contact with the eyes. In case of contact, immediately rinse with vegetable or mineral oil. • Avoid adding essential oils to the bath directly; always mix it with an emulsifier first. Undiluted drops of essential oil tend to stick to the acrylic surface of the tub, where they can actually affect the finish.

Actually, my dad grafted on, either a different plum tree branch or one from the same tree, and it did grow and produce little fruit. I actually, pruned this branch off the other day. The prune tree is over-shadowing a lemon tree we have and since the lemon tree actually produces fruit we use, I thought it was best to just prune the plum tree back. I still want to prune it back some more, and if possible, somehow get a pollinator companion tree to go along with it. The problem is, there's no space.
