Did you like 'Princess' Catherine's dress???

Am I the only one who was disappointed? Not that she needed something as iconic as Diana's, but I would have liked to see something more interesting. This looked as if she could have bought it in David's Bridal. She is a pretty woman with a fabulous figure that could have pulled off anything, so I was really disappointed. Anyone else???

She could have worn a potato sack and would have been gorgeous. It was an unconventionally beautiful dress, and I wasn't expecting it, but as long as she was happy than that makes it beautiful.

I liked the dress. It was elegant and very suitable for the occasion. Kate is a beautiful woman and evidently has a real sense of style. I'm sure she will be a "style leader" much as Diana was.

I didn't think Daniel's dress particularly "looked" like the orchid (a ho-hum Phalaenopsis) but I really liked the dress anyway. Andrae's was really great, too and I wouldn't have been surprised if the judges had awarded a tie. In fact, they should have since winning the individual competitions doesn't mean a thing in the end. Yeah, Zulema's really fell short but I was sure Kara was going to get the boot for her jersey yawn. Zulema's dress would have fit fine had the model been born with four boobs. I lost a lot of respect for Nick during his whole post-model-theft drama episode. Please. It's a competition and you just DEAL. Girlina, Please. I loved it when Tim said the dumped model looked like an elongated marshmallow. Looks like they're setting it up for Tim to catch Santino impersonating him next week. Damn right I'll tune in!!

I read recently that George Clooney is still learning Italian. I don't know what was going on with him. I agree that the 'glaring looks' were just part of a gag but he acted so odd on the red carpet. I couldn't decide if he had been drinking, in a bad mood or had a fight with his girlfriend. And I didn't care for his shaggy locks. I don't find Sarah Jessica Parker attractive and it seems she selects her gowns just for their conversation points rather than what might be attractive. Her hairstyle reminded me of an elaborate geisha. Doogie was awful. I fear he's on the verge of over exposure. Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin weren't too bad but they certainly weren't all that entertaining either. Miley Cyrus needs a posture lesson and someone to help her select a dress that fits and is becoming. But then I got a glimpse of her mother last night and now I know why she looked the way she did. Many of the women were just lovely and I enjoyed their gowns - Meryl, Helen Mirren, Sandra Bullock, Cameron Diaz, Sigourney Weaver. I didn't even miss the musical numbers until someone here mentioned them. I loved that UP won. That's going to be one of my all time favorites.

I agree with everything Caroline said. Hopefully this will end the hoochie mama red carpet look (worst) or prom queen (pretty bad) look for brides. When I got married those horrible foo foo mutton legs or whatever the heck you call them were in fashion. Being a size 3 that had to be taken in and 5'1" tall shopping for a dress was a PITA. Went with my DD for her bridesmaids dress fitting recently and 99% of the gowns were strapless with the rest being sleeveless with thin straps. Even the bridesmaids dresses. BTW despite "fashion" I choose a long sleeved high necked dress that actually suited me. Otherwise I would have looked like a lamb being led to slaughter in those awful sleeves of that time.

The towels look good hanging on the hooks, but it might help to see the actual hooks you're using. Teacats, I love the pictures in your bathroom. This mornings Gordman's ad shows the pictures of the ladies in dresses. The bathroom we're redoing is the main bath for the house and it seems to be on the formal side. I never know how rooms are going to end up they just seem to evolve during the remodeling process. It's really fun to see all these beautiful bathrooms, though. I love seeing all the different design styles!

I liked the dress;
it had a sort of Medieval look that played up Kate's slender shape.

(but I think Harry was the cutest!)

If you read about it, there were lace panels designed to depict the symbols for the various countries that make up the British Isles. Impressive.

Frankly, I thought she looked beautiful. She had to have a dress that would be proper decorum for Westminster Abby. Even at that, I was pleased she did not try to go for the sexy, peek a boo style so many USA brides like.

I love to watch bridal dress shopping shows. So many brides select the cutting edge style you want, but they would be inappropriate for the church wedding there.

I do have to say that I thought Diana was a beautiful bride too. But I felt sorry for her that her gown was so wrinkled as she exited the coach that took her to St. Paul's. Her Spencer tiara and veil were so pretty on her.

I thought it was very pretty, if a little "sedate" but given her position as future queen of England and the venue, it was appropriate.
