How much can I cut back my red honeysuckle

Comments (21)It got done. Home Expo was a nightmare. i got over the shock of paying $490, but then they tried to add on more charges. I had about four calls with them this week and each time they gave me a different total due that they were unable to justify (then they would say, "I'll call you back..." and the whole process would start over again). The final conversation was an exercise in frustration with a woman who couldn't understand basic math. Finally the installer saved the day by giving her a face-saving out when he suggested that she move a number around in her system. If it wasn't for the installer I don't know what I would have done. It ended up costing $490 for cutting the granite (plus $170 I had already paid for installation), which I'm fine with because it was two guys and it did take them a long time. The guy who cut the granite said he's only had a problem once. They cut it free hand and it's not perfect, but I don't see how they could have done better without removing it. I am relieved to have it done and grateful to the installer, but I will never buy from Home Expo again. Nobody knew what was going on, nobody could answer a question, more than one person said one thing and then denied it later........See MoreCut how much off young plant with black spot?
Comments (11)I personally wouldn't spray that hot, try early morning or early evening. I say early evening because i want it to dry well before night time. Seil you gave the perfect advice. I rarely romove leaves only because I don't have that kind of time with all the other yard work needed, but I do pluck the yellow occassionally just to make the bush look nicer. Nobody sees green leaves with black spot on them from a distance, but they will see the yellow. The rose is no longer gainining anything from a yellow leaf. I live in an area that is just prone to black spot, but I honestly do not spray very often. When I notice a rose is getting blackspot I sparay with Bayer then again in ten days and I find I don't have to spray again for awhile. Most sprays tell you every two weeks. I don't have that kind of time, nor do I enoy the job, lol!...See MoreHow to highlight warm tones in flooring
Comments (1)every color that's relatively "cooler" than your flooring, will make it seem warmer to you. colors do influence each other, and how we perceive them. it will seem a bit different as light changes too. and finally, it'll become surrounded with so many things, it'll become a bit less important to you as a huge separate surface..it will be part of the whole, and you'll perceive it differently than now-now you mainly concentrated on it, in an empty(or emptier) space. so my first advice-not to worry. I worry myself each time, but it ends up being fine. second-if you're still worried, and the chances you are, because "don't worry" usually don't cut it lol-lean on the cooler-relatively cooler-side of things. White will bring out warmth in flooring, and blue will, and some lilacs and greens will..some grays will..but if you like golden, warm tones in general-don't sacrifice it all for the sake of the flooring..remember that colors are relative to us..each color will have cooler or warmer shades. As long as you keep your samples whatever they are/will be next to your flooring-try to do it in different places in the house, in different times of the day-and it looks pleasing and harmonious to you-you'll be fine. Ah..and don't forget yourself when picking colors..I personally looked at myself in the mirror while holding every flooring sample next to my face lol..like a monkey..looked a complete idiot. But your colors should flatter you:) and family. People tend to forget about it, but when one of my friends-gorgeous blue eyed blonde-worked on her house colors and asked my advice-you bet I took the fact the's a gorgeous blue eyed blond into account lol. I myself wouldn't look as great against the colors she went with....See Moreponderinstuff
