If you had measured a JD at Home Depot, don't know if they sell the same model, you'd likely have seen the same poor interface you got a Sears. That's part of why buying from a dealer cost more, you get better/knowledgeable interfaces. In my case I don't want any help or home repair, albeit I'd not object to a warranty repair, never had one on 40+ years of yard maintenance,the last 20 with over 3 acres of mowing, plus all the other stuff... I am about 95% Sears/Craftsman, and that included my wood shop and auto tools too. While I was disappointed in Sears dropping its extensive catalog business (guess that's been more than 20 years, some of the young types on this forum didn't have any experience with that), and was again disappointed when K-Mart (of all the companies) bought Sears. My last tractor purchase was a DYT4000 in 2005, and while it has a much more flexible frame than my still in use 1993 GT6000, it is a great lawn mower. About to replace my 20 year old Sears self propelled lawn mower with a Walmart Yardman with a Honda GVC160 engine, so that'll be a break with Sears on may years of using their lawn mowers. Sears, like all other business, have to win customers every day, but I am a lost when I read complaints about Sears in the Past...I've been and continue to be happy with their products, and couldn't care less if the salesman knows anything beyond filling out the purchase order.

Do your thyroid meds need adjusting? I tend to retain more fluid when my Synthroid needs adjusting. I agree with trailrunner--I am an exercise physiologist, if your BP is that high, you need to not be doing high-intensity exercise because your systolic will go up in order to deliver blood to working muscles, and it might be reaching dangerous levels, especially if you are doing weight training. Yes, a WO does lower your BP post-exercise and it is a chronic adaptation, too. You may want to invest in a BP monitor for home use (they are less than $100 but get the arm vs. wrist cuff) and check it twice a day day after sitting quietly for 5 min. If you have a flex account, you can probably use it for that, but you may need an Rx from your doctor. Do you have a family history of high BP? That is also a factor. Both my parents and at least 3 out of 4 siblings have or high BP so I watch mine frequently. Luckily, I'm good for now, but I realize some day I may need medication though trying to delay it as long as possible. Although like trailrunner said, most high BP is idiopathic, in that it is something that just happens. Do you have access to a pool? When I am feeling bloated, especially after travel where I've been eating restaurant food, I make sure I hit the pool. The osmotic pressure makes me urinate out extra fluid.

Wanted to update everyone who was kind enough to share their opinions. We test drove the MDX and Pathfinder models. Found both to be much more difficult to drive than expected after going up so much in size from the Lexus RX 300 (The MDX is only around 12 inches longer than my Lexus so I thought it wouldn't make much of a difference but it really felt big!) Since I really needed a third row seat, we were basically left with exactly one option that was small enough to feel comfortable driving that had a third row seat: the Nissan Rogue with the family package. The third row seat is really small, but it will be fine for my purposes. I was also very pleased to find that I could put the third row down and fit two dog crates in the back of the SUV w/ the second row seat up--- something I was unable to do in my Lexus (seat had to be down) and which provides more versatility, which I was looking for. In light of the comments here about possible reliability issues w/ Nissan, we went w/ a 2016 brand new model so we could have a full warranty in case of issues. My DH did not find the MDX or pathfinder too big to drive, so he may still get the Acura (or possibly Pathfinder). He also wants to look at some others like the Lincoln with the third row and the Mazda CX-9 (I think those are the brands).

Thanks everyone. I still have tendinitis, so slow getting back, sorry. I think my doctors down the A1c in the past but I guess not for a year or two. I have family members with DM2. I am somewhat overweight and not super huge or anything but overweight and middle 70s. At the last appointment he told me he wanted me to the E renal doctor because it seems that my GFR is lower than normal. The last time it was right around normal. I think normal is 60 or above. So that’s got me concerned and I’m trying to get information on just that might mean, realistically. I cannot get an appointment until the end of December. And so I’m wondering if there is something I can do to speed things up like getting certain exams repeated or done again. It may just be something typical for my age group but I sure as heck don’t want to be hanging out on a renal diet. Because all the good things that I make like whole grains, dried beans, low sodium, Marinara sauce, Broiled salmon, winter squash, sweet potatoes, mushrooms, brown rice, dairy, yogurt, milk, cheese, nuts, mushrooms, green leafies, on and on and on are verboten. And if one has any problems like DM2, A lot of the things allowed on a renal diet are not good for the above DM. So it looks like I can have all the zucchini and green beans and cucumbers, and plain water. I’ve been reading a bit and not jumping to conclusions but I sure as heck would not want to be hanging out at a dialysis clinic. So when I asked about the A1c I was wondering how did they suddenly get from here to there. I’ve been reading diet stuff but it’s confusing because a lot of the stuff discusses the typical ho-hum recipes like women’s magazines produce. And I eat Differently than that. I don’t want to be into February before I get squared away with a diagnosis, plan and dietitian help. I bought one of those over-the-counter purchased glucose monitoring systems. I think my fasting BG may be higher than is good. It is sometimes 89, sometimes 90, sometimes 104 and sometimes a bit higher. I don’t know whether I have a hard time typing into Houzz; so I have to compose a scratchpad and then cut and paste.
