Am I the only woman in the world (or at least in this country) who doesn't color her hair or her eyebrows??? :-) I prefer a natural look and I don't want to add any color. My hair is red fading to strawberry blonde with natural blonde highlights that blend with the grey. (I've been called "a blonde" several times in recent years.) My eyebrows are light brownish-blonde and not very noticable. But, I don't care! Am I weird? If I suddenly started making my eyebrows darker, everyone would know they are not really that way. All of my friends and female relatives color their hair. A couple of friends were shocked to learn I don't add a drop of color to mine. I don't think I ever will. I don't want to start something I'll have to keep up... and I like my hair as it is. If I do add color to my eyebrows, I do it for formal photographs (e.g. weddings) and I use an old mascara wand (brown mascara only) and just lightly brush it on. It looks very natural and just right for the photo. Signed, Plain Jen :-)

Plucked and groomed my eyebrows for years and years. Used an old soft toothbrush to brush them -- in both directions. Brush-Brush-Brush .... REALLY works! :) Use a variety of soft brown pencils to VERY lightly color the hairs -- which are now so light-gray-white that my brows appear invisible. Keep the pencils well sharpened -- and try just VERY lightly dragging the SIDE of the color tip along your brows. As a redhead -- my natural hair lost its own color in the early 1990s and I have been coloring it since then to ashy-shades of blonde. I read YEARS and YEARS ago (LOL!) that brows should extend to the outer corner of the eye -- and curve lightly. Does anyone remember the old tip about holding a regular pencil against the side of your nose to gauge to starting point of your brows -- and then holding the pencil at an angle from the side/bottom edge of your nose and to the end of your eye to gauge the end of the brow? And after years of observing brows on older gals -- I must agree with that tip!

I'm kind of obsessed with eyebrows...I won't leave my house without them! I would say the past year or so they've gotten unruly and sparse and the hairs I do have are wiry and they stick up and curl and they're longer....UGH. So eyebrow maintenance was forced upon me :( I do dye them, but still have to fill in. I prefer L'Oreal pencil (water resistant) because I live in a hot and humid area and I need them to stay put. I could never get mascara types to look good. So I pencil them in heavier than I need and then use the mascara brush on the other end to brush through to get the lightness I want. I find that if I use a heavy hand on the brush, it actually makes it look more hair-like. Phoggie, look up microblading. It's more natural.

I do the same as others....men’s beard and mustache hair color on the advice of someone here, and I use light brown. My hair is streaked with gray now and I wanted to avoid the Groucho look. It fades a bit in a couple of days but most of the light brown color stays for a couple of weeks before I have to do it again.
