Hi Shaun...bye Shaun! You smell great today by the way.

I picked up the new Family Circle yesterday and I'm doing their "Walk Off 10 Pounds" program. Took Lucy the dog for a walk - plan on another walk this evening - and did some gardening. Making oatmeal and a pot of coffee for breakfast when we really want a stack of pancakes and slices of crispy bacon - Ha!

Will wear CSP Musc Alize today. I keep forgeting about this one. It's a soft floral-musc - kind of a nostalgia scent for me. My husband likes this one.

" First, a mechanical engineer by trade should be able to spell cretin. Second, no one on this or any other forum is a cretin. A cretin is a stupid, vulgar, or insensitive person. It was cretinous of you to make that remark. "Never passes an opportunity... really? If YOU do a search on this and other GardenWeb forums you'll find that I have quite a number of posts offering help and answers to questions only on rare occasion bite and then only when I am attacked. As a mechanical engineer by trade I would expect you to be more accurate in your criticism of me. My post was not condescending. It said EXACTLY what it said for the exact reason I posted it with no ambiguity whatsoever.. This is a self-help forum not a you look it up for me cause I'm too lazy to do it myself forum LawnJohnSilver seems a nice guy and in both this thread and a very lengthy thread he previously started http://forums2.gardenweb.com/forums/load/tractor/msg051535173462.html continuously posts questions to which the answers are a few keystrokes away. He's done it again and again and again yet never seems to bother to get the answers himself and it has been pointed out to him before that the answers to his questions are at his fingertips but he continues to ask those questions and anticipates those answers. If you want to be a poster's secretary and do their grunt work then go right ahead. When he's asked a challenging question myself and others on this forum have been quick to give him the answer without reservation. No one will learn anything as long as they get other people do their work for them. Not knowing the answer to a question is one thing, but not getting the answer to that question when they can Google as well as anyone else is another entirely. It is abusing the forum and the people who take the time to help those who ask for help and appreciate that help. There is a difference between being ignorant and lazy.

Hi all, Yeah, I know I don't come by often, but I read more than I post. Apparently BJ has been away for awhile? I saw the post by Susan asking if anyone was food combining, and it looks like no one replied. What is everyone here doing now? I think I eat closer to level 2, staying away from sugar and white flour, etc, and most carbs, even whole grain. I actually do better when I stay away from even the healthy carbs. I try to do lots of veggies, and still do my chocolate low-carb protein shakes. I haven't lost any more, though. It's frustrating, for as faithful as I am to eating "right". I remember how excited and happy I was when I lost 34 lbs. after only 3 months of following SS. My body adjusted, though, unfortunately. I've been watching Americon Idol, too. They are all so good now, it's hard to see any of them leave. I've been watching Heroes, too, and Office Space, and renting DVD's from Netflix. Just finished watching Pursuit Of Happiness, and currently on The Secret. I'm totally into computer virtual worlds now, and playing Myst Online, Morrowind, and Return To Mysterious Island. I've finished 10 oil paintings since I got here to Hawaii. I know some of you still remember when I moved. I'm not at all sorry I moved here, as it's a good place, but I get lonely, too. Not lonely enough to go through the winters anymore though. I think they will come and visit me again either this summer or next. My granddaughters are awesome girls, and I couldn't be happier with them or prouder of them. I'll keep checking in with you. You are all important to me though I haven't been much involved lately. I wish we didn't have to lose track of people. Take care and eat healthy! Amy

Congratulations Lunchlady - that is TERRIFIC! YEA for you! Congratulations on your right sized pants! I think you do need at least one new top so you have a whole new outfit. You can do it - those of us who are still working on getting to goal are counting on you to be our role model! How's that for no pressure? :) I'm cleaning out my extra room (which is really a huge storage closet) today so that I'm keeping busy and away from the kitchen this weekend. I think it's downright sinful how much "stuff" we all collect that we don't really need. Unfortunately I moved a big box and found an area of mold underneath (that darling cat is no longer with us). So now I can add ripping the carpet out to my list of things to do. But I'll wait for my son to come home from his dad's so he can tackle that. He likes to do things that require brute strength, fortunately. I'm happy to report I finally got in some exercise last evening with a friend and this morning solo (walking). I so enjoyed it and hope I will have the good sense to make it a habit. Have a good weekend everyone, and congratulations again, Goalie!

I just ran across this old thread looking for something else. I was surprised to see Steve's photos of lilies mixed in with Hostas. Who knew they would grow in that much shade. I have mine in full sun and another location that is part sun and I think the full sun stand up straighter, and I thought it was the sun. But Steve's are straight in dappled shade. Beautiful garden, Steve, and I agree, I really look forward to when the lilies are blooming with their fragrance adding another dimension to the garden. I ordered new lilies bulbs and planted them last fall and I'm excited to see how they will work out. And that's a gorgeous red Hellebore, Kailleana!

Piment EpicÃ© by Artisan Parfumeur; spicier than I usually wear but it has an undertone of cedar that I liked when I tried a sniff at the counter.

I just finished my bottle of Les Nuits d'Hadryen yesterday. I'll get another at one point. Those are my splurges once in a while.

Spring Fever is still my regular scent. People complain when I don't wear it.

Today it's Casual by Paul Sebastian for me.. always get compliments when I wear it.
The other day a friend of mine had on some strange fragrance and I thought she was eating Menthol coughdrops- but it was her perfume. Different strokes.

I found out yesterday that they will discontinue my favorite scent, Spring Fever,
in october. I bought 4 bottles in a panic, lol.... I wonder what the shelf life of a cologne is. I would not want to buy a dozen bottles and have them go stale over time......

If you keep the perfume in it's original box in a cool dark place, it should last a long long time.

I emailed Origins and this is the response I got;

Thank you for taking the time to contact us and for your interest in
Origins.

In response to your question, the shelf-life of our products is at least
three years from the date of manufacture, provided they are not exposed to
extremes of temperature. The only exceptions are mascara and self-tanners,
which should be replaced six months after opening, and nail lacquers, which
have a two-year shelf-life.

All of our products undergo rigorous stability testing, to ensure their
efficacy and quality during these periods. Because only products of recent
production are offered at our counters, we do not include expiration dates
on our products.

Once again, thank you for contacting us and for the opportunity to address
your concern. "

so I'll take a chance and stock up throughout the summer.

Casual by Paul Sebastian for me,too! My daughter wore it years ago, and I started wearing it...always get compliments on it. I have trouble finding it now, though. Tried several of the local department stores and they no longer carry it...ended up buying it online.
