Dark or Light Lipstick?

By dark I mean do you use bright reds, dark reds, plum tones, etc., or light ones like glosses, pearls, peach, light bronze, light pinks, etc.?....Lynn

I've found a few medium tones that I find more flattering; there was a long thread on natural looking lipstick colors recently. I've been noticing dark or very bright lipsticks on my friends and they look unflattering on more mature lips, imo...... or any lips that are too thin.

I agree that some of the bright or darker colors do not look good on older women, my daughter can wear most colors but she's 32....Lynn
