Ray, Yeah well they have already started to shoot out past the cage on one of the Earthtainers. Adding another section on top is not a bad idea. I got your plans off of tomatofest.com, which I have to say, are a great idea and not hard at all to do. We followed your advice to drill holes in multiple totes at a time. The only parts where we didn't follow directions are the following: 1. We lined the bottom and sides of the inside of the inserted tote with weed blocker. We thought that at the end of season that it would be easier to remove the old plants and easier to shake up the left over medium, take some out and add new medium later. Thus the weed blocker covers the bottom, comes up the sides and then we trimmed it after putting the lid on. It might seem like a waste to use that much but we are banking on the frustration factor being lessened which sometimes out weighs the cost of a little extra weed blocker. 2. We are not in a high wind area and we toyed back and forth with what staking system worked best for us and in the end we went with the cages but now knowing what I know about pruning for the indeterminate varieties I want to use the swizzle looking stick stakes and no cage at all. Or hopefully some sort of upside down trellis system that starts on the Earthtainer peaks 5-6' above and then aims back down to the ground again. Thus, our cages are not attached in the same fashion as you recommended but instead inserted on the interior of the lid since we put them in after we put the plants in. It wil do for this year. Thanks for the tip on the cages. I think I will go back to my local nursery and get more of the same that I bought they seemed cheap, $4 per four sided cage. They aren't Burpee but the same idea and use the same fasteners that you discussed in your directions for attaching the cages to the tote. Just and idea as well, do with it what you want. But for extra aeration we thought that it might be good to also drill holes in the side of the inserted tote. I think it would be helpful but maybe not. My sister, who is 63 years young, has been wearing her hair spiked (and stopped coloring it) for several years now and it looks great! She was always the conservative one growing up, so the first time I saw her with her hair spiked, it totally surprised me. She really looks good with this hair style, very feminine, and gets lots of compliments. Go for it, as socks said, it will grow back. Once you get your hair cut, go home and experiment with your clothing and jewelry.

I have always had coarse/frizzy, and very thick, hair which is not the same as curly/frizzy hair. The best way for me to tame it is to blow it completely dry. That works mostly fine in the winter, but in summer/humid weather, I need to use product. For my hair, Straight Works by Paul Mitchell gives me the smooth shine. It‘s put on while hair is damp and then blown dry. I’m only 52 but have a lot of gray and my hair grows very fast which means coloring my roots every four weeks. I have no desire at my age, especially since I still have kids at home, to go gray, even though it’s becoming more trendy. I’ve noticed that as I get closer to time for coloring, the texture of my hair gets coarser, so I have started using Straight Works more often in the winter. My daughter, who also has very thick, coarse hair that is also curly/wavy sometimes uses It‘s a 10 that has been mentioned above.

I also have frizzy hair. I'd like to try keratin, but I don't think I understand how it works. I'll have to research. When I was in my 20s, I used to comb Toni home perm solution through my hair in the shower. It would come out straight without the frizziness and it also bleached my mousy brown hair so it appeared sunkissed. I only did it once every couple of years because it was so hard on my hair, but man did it look good when I did. Well, you all convinced me and I just cut a couple of inches off the bottom to get back to shoulder length. I'd been growing it out over the summer, I did love being able to pull it back into a loose messy bun, but this is overall a better look for me. I can still get it into a pony tail, so still have some options. On the subject of going short, for me, I try to remember to go slow. I often think I want really short, but sometimes just a couple of inches is enough of a change. If it's not, then I go shorter. I once went from really long to a pixie cut. Big mistake.
