I had 4 laser applications, the last one about 5 weeks ago. My bikini line is completely done. Haven't seen anything at all. I could probably use 1 more treatment on my chin and neck, but my lip was done after 2. I was warned that I may need to go back once a year for any new growth, but otherwise I've been very pleased with the results. My bikini line was particularly heavy and waxing and shaving were a nightmare of ingrown hairs. There are MANY kinds of lasers and some work better than others. I just spent some time looking for the brochure that listed the type of laser, but I haven't been able to find it. I'll look again later and see if I can find it and post it for you. YES! Sun care is the most important thing. Once you have found that perfect sunblock for your skin, the rest is easy. I wish I had known this in my twenties and I could have saved my skin from a lot of environmental damage. browntoestoo, have you heard about this product called Meladerm? I SWEAR by this stuff. I used it to lighten some age spots on my hands and even my husband was shocked how much they faded. I know melasma and age spots are different, but I think meladerm is supposed to lighten all kinds of pigmentation. Also, my sister's doctor had given her a product called triluma for her melasma several years ago. I did help her a bit, but I think she was allergic to it so had to stop. Definitely into skin care and use Jan Marini skin products at night. They have glycolic acid in them. The product line was recommneded by a cosmetic surgeon I have used. She also recommends Cetaphil for a cleanser and Neutrogena Health Defense Moisturzier with SPF 45 for daytime. Cetaphil come highly recommended by many dermatologists. I buy the large size at Costco. Anykind of spotting on your skin will not be easy to get rid of without the help of a professional. Just be careful of who you use, if that is the route you decide to use. They are all not equal. The Jan Marini products may leave your skin a little dry at first. She recommends you introduce the products gradually starting with the cleanser on one area at a time. You can get them on-line. I use the cleaner and the bioglycolic cream.

I tried Retinal... I think, and Vanicream moisturizer. Mostly I forget the retinal. Am I spelling that right? Too lazy to get up and look. I like the moisture cream a lot and it was really cheap. I bought it for my arms with the crepe paper skin. That's better. I don't know about the retinal. In the meantime I bought a bunch of Neutrogena stuff and I like that. The eye cream might be working for those black bags under my eyes. Those are once a day which is good because I'm doing really well if I remember to do it every day. And the wrinkle stuff has the sun screen in it which was also another thing I didn't think about until I was outside. But every 80 minutes is a PITA. I wonder how the neutrogena wrinkle stuff with SPF 30 works all day? Doesn't seem like it would. So that's where I'm at. The driver's license picture is 20 days away. It has to look better than the last one.
