Velvet in March?

| I am going to a party next weekend which is a Saturday night and is "dressy casual". Can I wear black velvet pants? If not, what else? I don't do dresses. FYI - this is in Texas. |

| I wouldn't wear velvet in March. I think people are beginning to "think spring" this time of year and it will look out of place. You can wear any other dress pants or skirt with a dressy blouse, jacket, or light weight sweater. |

| depends on the weather. If it is chilly,by all means.If not,velvet is kinda thick so not a good idea. |
