hard milled means that there is less air beaten into the mix- the opposite of Ivory soap, which is beaten 'fluffy with air, much like soft-serve ice cream. and any hard milled soap is going to last longer than a softer soap. beyond that- it's all marketting. their soap's no better than Yardely's of London, who at least doesn't make a fuss about their lavendar soap being 'organic' just because they're using real lavendar from plants!

I tried it (always looking for the perfect product!) and I ended up returning it after a month or so. It was nothing special. BBW took it back without a problem.

Several years ago, while straightening out my parent's financial affairs, I noted a recurring monthly charge which they couldn't account for. Long story short, 2-3 years before my mother had placed a catalog order for a body cream which generated an "offer" for "medical" insurance which, if they didn't tell the company they didn't want, would result in a monthly charge (I want to say it was $20-30). Fortunately, the c.c. company worked with me and refunded the entire amount. Lots of scams out there which, in spite of being reported, continue. FWIW, I've been using the Rodan and Fields skin care line for the past three months and believe I've found my holy grail. I've always, even as a teen, taken extremely good care of my skin, including sun avoidance, so didn't have high expectations however my skin looks and feels better than ever. I'd been struggling with dryness the past few years due to our low humidity and had to d.c. Retin A but R & F has a good alternative and along with the rest of their regimen my skin is now much, much happier.

I just squirt Cetaphil lotion on a hot wrung out washcloth and go to town. Most of the old dead skin comes off that day then I try real hard not to fuss at it but once a day. It's a lot like a peeling sunburn. It needs to go but let it come of when it's ready. Moisturize heavily after and put a thick sock on. When I got the casts off my feet decades ago I was delighted when the calluses came off along with all the old skin so look for that. Ask if you can soak your foot, don't submerge that scar unless you clear it with your medical team. And it happened that a talk show had a segment on how to massage feet that week which was heavenly even if I did it myself.
