Hair style for a round (fat) face

Like an idiot, I bought some hair magazines that said it would show the different styles for various head shapes. Well for the round face they chose Christina Ricci or someone like that. I think she's 27 but looks 17. I wanted one older than dirt, and hadn't missed very many meals. And to make her even more perfect couldn't fix hair that is bleached, thin and grows very slowly.

I want to go short but I read a chin link bob is totally wrong. I don't like that shaved off all the back where's it's almost cut like a boys, maybe that's a razon cut.

HELP Me, Help Me!!!

I would think soft layers framing your face would help; you should try to find a good hairdresser to guide you in this.
Magazines show hair that has been styled perfectly, what you need is a good cut that holds it's shape.

You could ask for a classic bob where they DO NOT shave the back of the head like that.I would opt for a bit longer then chin length too, like right about the nape of your neck.

The reason the long bob is good for a "round, fuller face" is because the length that is a bit longer in the front kind of contours the shape of the face to have a SLIMMIMG effect almost.
You could go to www.hairboutique.com and browse some more pics or get the opinions of the members there (some are hair stylists) and they will help you find the best cut for you.It is a forum just for hair.

Thanks for the suggestions and links. I'm just so afraid of hair chin link. Looks like that would just draw attention to my face. My hair is straight on top and curly, from a perm,on the bottom.

I have the same problem, and I've found that wearing my hair up gets me a lot of compliments because it seems to add heigth to the face, which seems to be key. That's obviously not the answer for everyone; you have to have a little length to get it up there. It's perfect for me because I live where it's hot & humid almost year round, and I don't want a short cut. And I hate that shaved look in the back too. I posted this same question several months back. I didn't find the perfect answer though. I did have a hairdresser tell me that you definitely do not want any layers that end at cheek level.

Try this search-able hairdo site.

Here is a link that might be useful: Hairdos
