Is there anyone here that didn't like BM? I'm beginning to think there's something weird about me.

I haven't tried BM, just too darn expensive for me, I did post recently about other mmu's though. What is it about BM that you don't like?

BE foundation is not my favorite. I think their foundation shades are rather limited compared to many other mineral makeup companies. There really isn't anything for "cool" toned women. I did not have any problems with the Bismuth at all. I do however use many of the eyeshadows/liners/mineral veil, etc. The other companies that I do business with have better prices.

Jars of minerals have "exploded" in my handbag, cosmetic bag AND suitcase--what a mess that was! But love the makeup and it IS great for traveling because there are no restrictions since it's not liquid, paste or gel. I just bought a case specifically for mineral makeup to use for everyday and for travel. Love it because my jars are always packed now and ready to go. Just pack my brush roll (I put wands, tubes & tweezers in empty pockets in the brush roll). They have lots of travel hints on the case's website. I agree with Debi except I removed the sifter lids and taped up all but one hole (with a bit blue painters tape) permanently. If some minerals are needed up into the sifter, turning the jar upside down shaking it does the trick. Using it right out of the sifter top instead of the lid helps because I was making messes all the time when I transferred the minerals to the lid and back for swirling and tapping. Donner's suggestion of inserting a cotton ball between the sifter and lid is also a good one but I'd rather just put a dot of blue tape on the one hole and not waste anything on the cotton ball. Now when I buy new colors I just poke one hole in the seal and leave it in place. Hope this helps. Here is a link that might be useful: The Mineral Case

Wow, I have read and read and read the bare mineral thread and have searched and searched google trying to find out this same information. There were so many posts on the bare mineral subject, I felt like an outsider looking in as everybody seemed to be able to figure this out but me. Expensive! I want to look good & not go Broke! I switched to, "Elegant Minerals." I was ecstatic to find mineral makeup. I can't say enough. But, "Bare Escentuals" is really expensive. They always have the commercials running, so you know they add that into the cost of the product. Ouch!! I wanted to look good and not go broke doing it! I found, "Elegant Minerals" using the yahoo search engine. They put sifters on all of their jars and that makes it easier to control the powder. I've gotten a mineral makeup through the mail and the makeup ends all over the place when you open the jar. Elegant Minerals put sifter seals their foundation jars. This keeps the powder from getting into the lid during shipping. They've always answered my questions really fast. And all the jars are factory sealed too. I use #1 foundation also and found the Warmth was WAY too dark for me. I used it as a bronzer when I had a tan for a few days. I still haven't figured out what to do with the Bisque. I bought it, thinking it was a concealer. But the foundation covers just as well, I think. I have to experiment more with that. And I do use a different brush for each powder. The only time I mix is when I use the blush. I just got the blush, and discovered that if I dip my brush in the Mineral Veil and then in the blush, it keeps the blush from going on too dark. The blush is very concentrated and you just need a tiny bit. Has anybody tried the Clear Radiance? Is it too shiny?

I didn't think it covered my under eye lines as well as Al may. I thought it accentuated the lines under my eyes.

I have lots of friends who look wonderful in Bare Minerals. It seems to give them a radiant healty glow. I, on the other hand don't like it. I gave mine to a neighbor and she was happy to get it. On me, pores looked huge and wrinkles and lines were exaggerated. I didn't like the coverage and my face burned. Of course, the colors didn't work for me either. Bare Minerals seems a bit overpriced to me, also. I tried many mineral foundation samples from the internet and most didn't do much for me but were better than BM. I did find a great one though. I love the new Merle Norman mineral makeup. It looks good on me. FINALLY!!! We're all definately not the same, and different products seem to work for different people.

My Bare Minerals went into the trash. They fail to tell you that dry mineral makeup doesn't look good on skin older than 30. If you have any lines, it just makes them look deeper. I absolutely hated on me.
