I'm staying. My membership expires in July and I'll renew every year, until this forum no longer exists (which I hope doesn't happen).

$15 a year is an awesome deal because these forums are great!

Hi, I am a part of my agricultural class at school and we created a fully indoor, self-sustained hydroponics system. However, as we are a public charter school, we have limited resources and are looking for donations. anything you can offer would be amazing. we can offer payment for shipping or SASBE. Dang! What the heck happened to my apostrophes and ellipses in my post? Annoying! It looks as though I'm getting my parents, two of my cousins and my aunt. I called the cousin who invited everyone to give her a hard time and she sheepishly asked me if I was mad. I assured her I was the opposite of mad, but reserved the right to tease her about this forever. Plans (what few I'm making) are coming along nicely. When it was just my one cousin, I was going to make our "traditional" Easter fare: rabbit, baby carrots, and roast potatoes made to look like Easter eggs. But that's a dinner for only a few people. So I thought about lamb, but my dad caught wind of that and every time he's been in the background when I'm talking to my mom or one of my siblings on the phone, he bellers (goodnaturedly but seriously) "Tell Shelly if she cooks lamb, I'm not coming!" This is pointless, as I discussed it with him some time ago and agreed to let him cook a ham with his favorite glaze on our grill's rotisserie. My mom, in martyr mode, asked if I could have some peanut butter or cottage cheese on hand for when they arrived Friday night. (She's the only Catholic in the bunch... as though I'm going to cook meet and callously hand her a jar of PB and tell her to knock herself out!) I laughed and told her not to be silly, that I'd cook fish. She informed me my dad won't eat it. I told her I'd make it anyway. I plan to have a couple steaks on hand and my dad complains about anything he can go out back and grill his own dang dinner. Sheesh! When did he get so picky? Every day I'm checking on the progress of my bulbs and my hope is that they'll be blooming for my aunt when she comes. She's a serious gardener and since we're a couple zones higher, I look forward to previewing Spring for her. I'm not sure what we'll be doing the whole weekend, but one thing is certain: All the neighbors on our street will be able to hear us laugh from the moment they arrive until the lot of them leaves. :o)

I agree, your Earth Angel is gorgeous. Wish I had taken the time to clean the leaves on some of mine. The sweetgum trees and pecans are beginning to drop leaves, and gee they can penetrate the hosta quickly. My tablet doesn't take as fine a color or high megapixel as my Nikon digital, but I used it most recently and haven't removed photos from the Nikon yet. However, I'd say that Paradigm is looking super fine. Yesterday's Memories on 9/18/13 late in the afternoon. Faithful Heart....it has that teeny narrow green margin, and look how gold it is! Love this as part of my "heart set." Tiajuana Brass looking mature isn't he? Got him this summer from Jim Hartmann....he thought I'd like him, and I sure do. Squash Casserole....this has looked GOOD from the first of spring. And it continues, in the same location, to have perfect leaves. I'm afraid to touch it! Lakeside Lollipop....can't turn down this one with its rough texture and blue green look. A really sweet hosta. I'm leaving off Mama plantaginea, my favorite hosta of all time. You've seen her and her clones before. :)

When I moved to a new office my husband pointed out that the computer hutch and the U shaped office especially with light colored furniture is a secretarial layout, and not a current one either. He redesigned my layout so I have a large desk and a side table for my computer, & printer. His simple change of my not being surrounded by hutch, desk, etc. gives a real professional look to my office. In back of my desk is a series of 2 drawer wood lateral files which are counter height so I can put a plant there but also current files. I see a lot of clients so I needed space for their chairs. My clients can look out the window in back of me. I promise to take photos, but we moved into our house today, and I couldn't find anything until morning. So we started with: whats in your office that could go elsewhere>? Are you storing closed files? supplies, a printer (if a network is available) What do you have that your assistant could have besides paperwork. He helped me utilize my assistant of 23 years better and redesigned her workspace. Ladynimue's suggestions about really paying attention to how you work best (and put the times down as well) are great. My observation of accts offices is they have every file in the building on their floor. I once saw a cartoon that said "the acctg dept is limited to having 100 files on the floor next to each desk" You are an executive--they don't expect you to use the same furniture--ask very matter of factly what your budget is for new furniture, or better yet maybe they have some furniture stored someplace. Never hurts to ask. The other thing I would do is take a look at every acctg persons office, or read the furniture mags until you see a layout that you might like. Maybe a friend can point you in a new direction also. I was really stubborn about wanting everything the way I had it before--because everyting was in reach & I complained that when I was on the phone that was a problem. We got wireless headsets. problem solved. My husband is not an office designer--he runs his own company. His layout is very different. He has a rolltop desk that faces out so all you see is the back of the desk, and not the papers, inside. He has a work area to the left and to the right. They aren't connected. He has a couch and coffee table in his office.

I just re-upped a few weeks ago. The board doesn't move as fast as it used to but there is still a lot of good info being shared. I'll probably stay too.

I'll definitely renew when it's time. I can get great advice on everything from plumbing to decorating to computer help. It has already paid for itself with the money it has saved me over the past year.

I'm new to this forum, usually go to the knitting and crocheting and in the spring I hang around the Bird forum. I have also got a lot of help off of the computer forum, and just recently have been getting some useful tips from here. I just re-upped my membership a couple of days ago. These forums are the greatest and a lot of help. I hope they never take them off here.

I'll be renewing as soon as I can remember to bring my plastic with me to the computer! I'm with Sunny--the money I've saved by using the computer help forum alone is worth the $25 (I'm in Canada)! Plus, visiting the other forums and all you great people is fun, too!

Just paid again, the forum pays over and over for itself on the computer help-- forum alone. Now if I can figure out from here what to do with my hair color and my body!

I paid for the first time just two days after I found this site! The cross-stitching forum is free, but the menopause one isn't. The info available is well worth the money. I enjoy reading all of the posts, especially the flames! I wonder if it's the same person that starts something at each of the forums!?? I love it;better than cable and half the cost.

I dont think I'll be staying. I do like this forum but it is the only one I use. Plus Im moving away from home and my $ will probly get tight, and sticking around most likely wont help that Im breaking my habit of spending wildly on beauty products. Plus, Ive been at this forum two years and I dont think theres as much input and discussion as before this forum became a pay site. It has been nice meeting you all, though. Ill continue to stick around until I cant post anymore, and ill probly check in to read posts once in awhile.
