over 50 and looking for a hair iron for short hair

Hi Ladies ( and gentleman ),

I'm on the very far side of 50 and have some grey in my hair. I have it highlighted. I wear it fairly short with a little spike to it. My hair has a natural wave in some areas and frizz in others. I'd like to get a sleek look ... aka... maybe a Jane Fonda type do.
What would you all suggest ? Brand ?? Size ?? Products ??

You all seem to be experts !!

there are a multitude of flat irons available with a narrower space; I have cheap flat irons and one good quality one, the latter works much better.....
