Moisturizers with a 'glow'?

Hi....Any suggestions for body moisturizers that also give you the "glow"?

Some of them smell awful and I would prefer one without a scent or a very light scent....I have used the Aveeno brand and it doesn't do anything for my medium skin...I still look "winter- white"!

I was given a jar of Origins Ginger Souffle. It has a golden shimmer to it on your skin and smells a bit like a spice cookie!

Why not just try a sunless tanning lotion. They do have some good ones that can give you a glow in about 30 minutes. I prefer ENDLESS SUMMER by coppertone. Just make sure to exfoliate first with a loofah or something to get rid of dry,dead skin. In a half hour you could look like you just got back from vacation.

I have two large Blue Glows in copper planters on a stone patio. We live at the coast where the temperatures don't usually exceed 78. Whenever there is a heat wave and the temperature goes up to 85 or above, my agaves scorch. I was surprised to learn that metal planters on a stone patio create a temperature as high as 150 degrees. Consequently, I move them into the shade when the weather heats up. I hated looking at the ugly scorch marks so I painted them! The flesh is dead anyway so paint won't hurt them. I mixed acrylic paint to match the leaves and painted all the scorch marks. They look beautiful again and my husband couldn't tell where they were painted.

Eh, that amount of sun shouldn't do too much damage in Summer. Make sure there's about 2" of mulch or equivalent at the base to help keep the soil moist. Properly hydrated hyd. mac. shouldn't droop too bad in full sun unless they're dehydrated. Otherwise, just some slight wilting or browning around the edges of leaves and flowers can occur. You can try misting the flowers / foliage heavily every day during dry spells, as they can absorb and retain moisture. If little rain in Summer, water the plant (20-30 seconds) around the base with "shower" setting on your spray nozzle, 3 or 4 times weekly. Aside from those things, a higher number of days with rain and overcast skies will greatly help with growth of the plant, otherwise it just won't grow that quickly as it continually needs time/energy to recover from the heat. And... I'm not sure how prone Glowing Embers is to browning, but I've read the color of its flowers "acts" faded to begin with, which may be increased by sun.

My red headed Irish daughter uses the Jergens all the time...She works at the Post Office and people are always remarking on her nice tan..Along with getting a nice "tan" she said, it's very nice on the skin.. Also, I have grand daughters that compete in Irish step dancing and dancers use alot of the tanners and many do prefer the Jergens....

I used the Clarins Golden Glow Booster last summer for my face (I think they've just come out with a similar product for the body) and I liked it a lot. I'm pretty fair (Irish, blue eyes, blonde-ish hair) and burn easily, so I try not to spend too long in the sun, but I'd love to be tan all the time! I bought the Clarins product to hang on to the color I'd gotten on a trip to Florida and it really worked and looked very natural on me. Every day, I used two drops mixed with my daily moisturizer. It wasn't greasy or slick, and my moisturizer felt like it always did. It's a little expensive ($35 for a about 2 oz. at Sephora) but it lasted all summer. I'm going to buy it again, as well as the whole-body version.

Oh! You wanted a tanning product! Duh! I tried the Jergens one. It adds a teeny bit of color at a time. It is less likely to streak on damp, just showered skin.

Joyce, I think the scent that your talking about is the chemical additive that dyes the skin (the 'glow'). It's pretty much unavoidable with self-tanning products, but there are definitely some that don't stink as badly as others.

I'd do an internet search for a sunless tanning site - I remember seeing one when I was in the market for a sunless tanner that actually rated all the products they tried, and they had before and after pics for most as well.
