Apparently babydoll dresses are back for spring. I have already seen several out in stores,and I must say they look very cute and feminine.

Do any of you ladies have an opinion on this back again trend? I bought one that I cant wait to wear (unfortunately,it will be a Loooog time before that happens cuz it is still freezing cold here)

I went to the neiman marcus website ( they show trends, lots of fun to look at)
and I found this version, I saw other babydoll dresses gathered above the bust; this is one style that I would say is suitable for the younger generation. I would also venture to say that it's a style best worn by people with a not too prominent chest so that the dress does not float away from the body too much, if you can imagine what it looks like, think "maternity".............

I think it's cute and they did have a lot of tops similar to that last spring worn with tight jeans.

Avoid high winds when wearing this dress, lol.................

I've found that letting my stylist do her job is the best way to get a great haircut. What I want probably won't work because 1) I have fine sparse naturally curly hair but gravitate towards styles that only work for thick straight hair 2) I'd probably choose a color too yellow or orange for my complexion and 3) the styles I generally choose make my face look long and drawn. From lots of experience with "try this haircut" websites, I've found that what looks great online doesn't necessarily translate to a great haircut for me. After all, I didn't always have Jessica. But Jessica won't let me do anything stupid. I just tell her my general requirements: wash and go for work, hair can't get in my eyes during surgery, want to be able to do something really different for going out (straighten it or something), and please don't limit me colors that occur in nature. We made a deal: I wouldn't try to be a stylist if she wouldn't try to be a veterinarian. Otherwise, I might come out looking like a poodle!

Those mission style bells above are very high, too high if you ask me. I would not be in such a hurry and one day you could run into one. I bet they sell for a song in NM or Arizona, you might want to check on line at some antique shops there. Or look on ebay.

Yes, use your budget towards beautiful furnishings and art work that are in your style. Work with your "givens" -- the light flooring, the existing kitchen. If you thought you had a budget that allowed for some expensive kitchen changes, use some of that budget to hire a one-time interior decorator or designer to help you choose pieces, window treatment, and other purchases that will work with the lighting, floors, and spaces you have. Avoid doing or choosing things piecemeal--I love that rug!--so that everything harmonizes and gives your home a feeling of flow and style. Good luck!

Thank you all so much for indulging my brainstorm!! I think what is bothering me most is I dont have a clear vision, but we know exactly what we need to do with the rest of the house. Under the ceiling fan is where the kitchen table goes and then the room wraps around to the family room. The entire wall on the other side is all glass sliding doors and it gets full sun all day long. My husband actually loves the fan because the sun can make the room quite hot especially while cooking. there is lighting under the cabinets for sure and it does look nice and bright when all the lights are on, but I do love the pendant lights over the island idea. its definitely a few years away before we do Anything but I LOVE that soft green @Maureen posted. I actually think that might be perfect for the island. Love the idea of losing those cabinets beside the stovetop - I hate them because they just scrape along the counter. Putting one big hood fan is a perfect idea @designinteriorsouth. If I were Doing it today I would be inclined to paint the perimeter cabs white and then change the backsplash To a lighter colour.

They are really adorable and flattering.

I have one that is a long shirt, made for winter, gray sweater material, high empire waist, with like tank straps and large buttons (hard to explain) so you can put a long sleeve t-shirt under. I wear it with a long sleeve white tee. Looks cute with jeans or leggings.

I like the look, very feminine.

I'm five feet tall. I would look like I'm trying to impersonate a ten year old! Not for me. But cute on the right person.

I love them but am way too old to wear them. I think they are so cute with leggin's and jeans. If I were young I would forsure wear one. The ones here are all so cute, I bet you gals will look darling in them!!

coolmama, those dresses are nice but not exactly what I would call babydoll dresses; they are a classic styling that is more flattering than the babydoll, I think...

Oh,well they came up under babydoll search. I like all posted though. I wish I could post the pic of the one I got. It is definitely babydoll and very cute.
Since we just got 6 more inches of snow I might as well pack it away though,LOL.

Labmomma,we may have more in common then we both think ;)
