I went from silk wraps because they caused my nails to be even thinner and didn't like the growing out periods to using Onymyrrh but DeLore stopped selling it. I found a product called Onymyrrhe that seems to work as well. I like it because you don't have that polish look to take off and on. You massage it in for less than a minute and then wash your hands. You can use it over your polish or on your bare nails as you rub it into your matrix an cuticle. A search on Google will give you sources. It lasts forever which is why DeLore no longer sells it.

Eeeeeeeeeeeee ya'll are make me squirm over here with your toenail falling off stories! Ouch, ouch, ouch! For hands, I think a pale nude/pink is flattering if you find the right one for you. Since you don't care for french though, you may not like that look either. I find them both to match pretty much anything and think it looks very polished. No pun intended. Mitch what brand/color white are you using? Those that paint your toes (dark) colors most of the year, what base coat do you use? I've tried many and find my big toes end up discolored after a few months. My fingernails never get like this but it's very rare I wear color on my hands. I typically only wears reds and pinks on my toes.

I use wood glue now or Elmers glue. The Elmers can be a little to runny thou and does not dry as hard as the wood glue. Cheap nail polish works well.

@avaaustin The process of attaching fiberglass mesh to ceramic/porcelain tile differs from natural stone processing. Mesh on the back of ceramic mosaic usually doesn't have a layer of glue between the mesh "cells". At same time, the main reason of "resin backing" attached to natural stone is to reinforce it and fiberglass mesh is attached using a "glue" that is mostly polyester. It, first, adds an impervious layer to the back of stone and can significantly reduce the evaporation. Secondly, there could be problems with how well the bond is between the mesh and the substrate since dry set or polymer-modified mortars don't adhere to it very well. True porcelain tiles, whether sealed or unsealed, have >0.5% water absorption. At same time, marble is a translucent stone that will still absorb moisture as vapor even after an impregnating sealer is applied. I can't tell you whether Bulletproof sealer will help you in your situation. With properly installed water-in, water-out system and stone with no "resin backing" it is best to avoid any sealer. That's my strong opinion. Sealing the stone but not sealing the grout will not make any difference. Impregnating sealers are all considered permeable but if there is trapped moisture under the stone unsealed grout won't help.
