couple of questions

I just found this board!

I need an eyeliner that goes on smooth...what I've been trying all seem to "crumble" and not go on consistently. They've been gloppy and too wide, also. Any suggestions?

Also, I'm looking for a site (free?) where you try hairstyles on using pictures of yourself. I'm due for something new, and have no idea what I want! Anyone know of such a sight?

Thanks for any advice you can give!

Have you tried pencils, I sharpen mine before every use and I can control the thickness very well; I particularly like a pencil I bought from Urban Decay at sephoras, it's long lasting and goes on smooth.

I like Mac Eye Kohl pencil. It's soft so it doesn't pull and I like to smudge it a little for a smokey look.

sorry, don't know of any free sites for trying different hair styles.

Thx GG, I have been experimenting with creating a growing media that uses alfalfa. I added some dry organic fert in the matrix as an experiment, but didn't know if I let it age before use if it would make the dry stuff more available. Pretty much have the same thoughts, but I know y'all have much more experience. Interestingly though, once I added an organic to what I thought was very clean sand....only to find the availability rate was pretty much the same as the soil I was using. Maybe my "clean" sand was no so....lol. Thanks again, I shall post a pic of my "creation". Lot's of fun.

Thank you all for looking and commenting. Sherry, Tree Turtles is usually anywhere from 48 to the listed 56 inches. And the blooms will be all over the plant...not too pretty to me to begin with, but they curl up like bows and even the colors become much clearer and prettier in the sun. Most unusual. Nan, you will like Flaming Flamingo...it is not an extra early full opening bloom, but it stands up very well to the sun and looks more striking as the day heats up. As I said, I am very happy with the performance of both Possession of Obsession and Spoken in Parables. Both are reliable re-bloomers here. Finally, the blooms are beginning to die down....not out yet, but I expect few clump shots after the next few days, but will still have a lot of re-bloomers which I will wait to post until there re a sufficient number of them. I am wishing all of you who are in the beginning and middle of your seasons (and you Celeste) to have great seasons. kay

What are you doing about weeds? Have you used a selective weed killer? Are you planning to use glyphosate? Are you doing an overseed or a renovation? What is your seed down date? Move the "mow short and bag everything up" to right before seeding. If this is an overseed, you should gradually reduce your mowing height. You may or may not need to dethatch. The aeration earlier may be enough. You want the aeration holes to fill in before seeding so the seeds don't fall down too deep. It's best to keep lime and fertilizer apart. Also good to do the lime well in advance of seeding (several months ago would have been ideal), so the sooner you can do that, the better. I have used lime before at seeding and nothing terrible happened. But it's better if the pH has been adjusted and is in a good range before putting seed down. Lime takes time to work. I would do it today. The aeration, when you can get that done, will push the lime further down into the ground, having about the same effect as if you applied the lime after aeration. Just get it down.

I had the problem of eyeliners flaking, too. The stuff would get in my eyes and irritate them, or just plain looked bad. I thought maybe it had something to do with my skin type. Anyway, I tried some of the "pen" eyeliners. The ones that work best for me are the ones that are more like marking pens. I just bought one by e.l.f. and it is wonderful. I don't know anyone in my area that sells it so I bought mine on ebay. It's a bit more money than I usually spend, but I love it.

My daughter had hair that she could sit on and was getting bad headaches. Figured it was the weight of her hair. She decided to cut it, but that was really scary for her, so she wanted to be sure she liked what she got. She went to this website and found something that looked good on her. Printed it out and took it to the stylist and was very happy with the results. A lot of the "free" websites turn out not to be free after you've spent a bit of time there. Do a google search and make sure to use your quotation marks. We typed - "try a new hair" + free

Sheishedo (sp) has a liquid eyeliner that is extremely precise. Even a spaz can get a line as thin or thick as you want.

But,...it's not cheap!

Surprisingly, Wet n Wild has some waterproof liquid eyeliners that are fantastic, called H2O proof. It doesn't come off until you take it off... really! For me, it stays in place ALL day, and through the night if I don't take it off!
