Liquid Soap that leaves you Squeaky Clean?

I have oily, non-sensative skin & I exercise pretty vigorously each morning before I shower. I'd like to use a liquid shower soap but the ones I've tried all have some kind of moisturizer in them which leaves a slick film on my skin & increases the oiliness.

Is there a liquid shower soap that leaves the skin squeaky clean like bar soaps do? I've even considered a dilute solution of dish detergent.

I hate the feeling of moisturizers in soap, too! If you really have tough skin, I would recommend trying Bath and Body Works' "Breathe" (a citrus-scented shower gel). It leaves my skin dry and clean (actually, for me it's too dry, but then again, I have slightly cranky skin). If your skin is a little less tough, I recommend Neutrogena's Relaxing Shower and Bath Gel. It is the only thing I have ever used that leaves my skin at the perfect balance of not too dry but not too moisturized. Hope this helps!

I have the same problem, although I have dry skin.My DH loves Oil of Olay bar soap, and while I admit it does have a nice lather, I hate the feeling of any kind of "residue" on my skin when I get out of the shower. I'd just rather use a lotion for dryness; I get in the shower to get clean. I have actually used the BBW "Breathe" gel and I do like it. It has a nice light fragrance.
The other thing that comes to mind is that I noticed at my SIL's home once that she kept a bottle of antibacterial liquid hand soap in the shower because it's what her young grandson liked; I tried it and was pleasantly surprised that my skin felt clean but not too dry.

I personally have only been using the CS for a few days, but the difference has been drastic. Overall, much better results with the CS than anything else I have ever used. I don't know what others routines are, but here's what I've been doing. For reg loads (no heavy stains) I just use the one scoop of CS. For heavily soiled loads, I pretreat with the CS multi surface cleaner, then I wash with the one scoop of CS and one Tbsp of my HE oxi clean. It usually requires an extra rinse because of the CS laundry powder and the Multi-Purpose cleaner, but it works incredibly well. It has gotten out all the new stains my hubs has gotten in his work clothes, which nothing else ever did, and with each wash the older set in stains are fading. It got most of the stains out of my lil girls brand new white shirt. There are only a couple of tiny dots on her shirt now (set in chocolate), but they are going away with repeated washes. I have used many detergents over the 10 years I've been married, but I have never had anything work this well overall. Some stains would be easier to remove with an enzyme detergent, but then the clothes here get build up on them and get hard. That doesn't happen with the Charlie's. It is also gentle and improves fire retardency and improves or maintains the water resitance of other articles of clothing (my husbands seal socks). Factor in the price and this is superior to anything else out there in my opinion. Sorry for the added review, but I am still in utter awe of this stuff and can't figure out why it took so long for me to hear about it. Anything this good you would think everyone knew about.

Three decades ago when liquid soap for home use was "new", I would save bar soap slivers and small hotel soaps and make them into liquid hand soap. Now it's less expensive, and less mess, to purchase gallon jugs of liquid soap (Sam's Club and Big Lots are good sources). For foam dispensers I use a 1:3 mixture of liquid soap and water, so we use all foam dispensers for even more savings. The recipe I used is very similar.... Homemade Hand Soap 11 c. water 1 bar soap (or enough slivers to equal the same amount) 1 T. glycerin optional - 10 drops essential oil Grate soap on a box grater, microplane, or in a food processor. Bring 4 cups water to a boil. Add grated soap and stir to a boil. Add grated soap and stir until it melts. Add glycerin. Add remaining water. Once cooled, add essential oils. Let mixture sit overnight. Place 2-cups (at a time) in a blender. Mix well. If you want thicker add 2 more T. glycerin and allow to sit for a few hours. To use in a foam pump dispenser, add 1/4 c. homemade liquid soap and water to fill the bottle. You can add tea tree oil or grapefruit seed extract, or other essential oils like Four Thieves for additional anti-bacterial protection. HOMEMADE BODY WASH 1 c. Suave Shampoo ("flavor" of choice) 1/2 c. water 3 T. table salt or Epsom salts Whisk until frothy. \-Grainlady

The grease may have chemically bonded with the stain/urethane/varnish topcoat of the cabinet. I would try wiping an area with mineral spirits poured on a cloth.

Ok its been a few days so I can give more opinions on Dove baby. By the way I also bought the lotion. I love the soap, it doesn't leave a feeling on my skin like some moisturizing soaps do including Dove White, but does leave it very smooth, soft, and supple...the scent left on the skin is extremely light. Pat you might like this soap. The lotion I do not like not at all except for the very light almost no fragrance. It leaves a very sticky feel, even into the next day its sticky. However I have an area below my elbow about the area of an egg that's very dry, red, itchy, and sore..I'm a leaner so I tend to put my elbow area on my knees and lean forward a lot anyway I've been using this lotion several times a day for 3 days now on that area...I can still see a pinkish area, but its now smooth and the itch is gone as is the iirritating pain so I'd say it did a great job on a problem area. I will not use this as an all over lotion but will use it for problem areas...I'd suggest you try it Pat. Chip my 8yo has some eczema around both ankles, I've used the soap and lotion on him since Thursday applying the lotion to the eczema areas 3 times a day..the eczema is not cleared up, but well on its way. Just for this alone its a keeper. I haven't ask Amiee today for her thoughts yet. Tim my 9yo wouldn't use lotion for love or money lol, I should probably insist as its part of healthy skin care. so in a nutshell the soap is lovely and the lotion great only for problem areas.

Try baby wash. I use it all the time for washing my face. When I go on trips, it's my shampoo and body wash too.

I though of two for you to avoid. Oil of Olay, as mentioned above, always seems to leave a residue (ick!) and so does Aveeno.

A liquid glycerine soap would be better than dish soap. I think the dish soap would be too harsh for you. Pears now makes a body wash which is available at Walgreens. If there is a Trader Joe's near you they also have liquid glycerine soap. Whole Foods or a health food store would also have some such as Dr. Bonner's.

I've used Suave clarifying shampoo as a shower wash. It's inexpensive and works on my hair as well.

I've been using Alpha Hydrox body wash for years. Light fresh scent, no residue. I can't find it in local drug stores these days so I've started buying it online.

Good ole Dial (bodywash) does it for me... I usually have to lather on lotion twice once I get out of the shower, but the slimy feeling of conditioners in my body wash irks me.
