| Hi everyone. I usually spend my time in the gardening or decorating forums, but I'm looking for some fashion advice.
My daughter will be graduating from college the weekend before Memorial Day. In the interest of saving money, I was hoping to "shop my closet" if possible. Is it alright to wear a white cotton blazer over a colored dress or is that a no-no before Memorial Day? I would wear a darker shoe that coordinated with the dress. Thanks for your help

| I don't see why not. I have no idea where you live and what the weather is in May. Where I live we are at risk for frost right up until Memorial Day and there have been the rare snowflakes falling in early May. If it is cold and rainy I would go with a heavier jacket in a darker color. Use your good judgment. |

| I think a white jacket is fine. |

| Thanks everyone. I knew shoes and pants were considered a no-no by many. Wasn't sure about the jacket. I know the weather forecast for that weekend will play a huge part in my final decision, especially considering the graduation will be outdoors. Thanks again, Totally Confused |
