Well..I can say, I have crafted with bones for many years. Must be the Native American in me. When I lived out in the country, and my son's and i would go fishing, I would come to a screeching halt when I saw a clean carcass. When my son's were old enough to drive, and they would see me look back along the road when they were driving..they knew right away to turn around, and 'let mom do what she does'...LOL People who knew what id did would bring me bobcats, armadillo's, cow skulls and most any type of bone. I would use the bobcat skins, ( scraping them and tanning them with salt) I have used deer legs as table legs and gun racks, I made a skeleton for halloween using animal bones. Skulls and Jaw bones I usually painted Native American scenes on them. I would have no problem building a garden trellis or windchimes from bones. I have seen people save the wishbones from turkeys and such, spray paint them gold and tie them to gift boxes for luck. I say, to each their own. My dad used to always tell us when he was young, they used the turkey breast bones for ice skates..LOL ( I never know when to believe what he says..LOL)...and you bet..I would have stopped and picked those bones up ;) Loved your story..LOL

@jenniferbeaty I came across this thread because there's actually a discussion about it today in one of my Facebook groups. One of the members relayed the following though I'm beginning to doubt the correctness of her information: "i found this little note a few years back ... the daughter of the man who ran the Ireland's Chili and BBQ empire out of Wichita Falls has a family restaurant (Odom's Old Town Smokehouse BBQ) in Burleson, TX, where she cooks all of her Dad's old recipes. The website says that Ireland's sold out to Ranch Style Beans of Fort Worth. Looks like a very roadfood-worthy place to dine." I imagine @Carolyn Ireland could confirm or deny its veracity. Regardless, the place is no longer in business. In regard to the flavor of Ireland's canned BBQ my memory is that it was quite unique and very smoky — almost addictive.

I did much of my research on BBQ Guys for our grill & & outdoor frig. Their #1 recommended is the 4.2 cu ft. Fire Magic ($700-$800). #2 is over $2000. We bought the Fire Magic. It's not specifically a beverage frig but that's all we use it for. This is only our second summer with it, but no problems & it keeps the drinks cool & is very attractive with a beautiful stainless steel finish.
