I like it too. To make it really successful, first believe in yourself. Tell yourself this is going to work, add color and graphics to your web site so that people will want to see more of your ideas. Do not give away too much of yourself, but use beautiful imagery to illustrate just how much fun your ideas can be. Invite visitors to contact you with their own ideas and then give them an appointment for a free 'analysis' of how you can make their ideas really sparkle. Believe in yourself. Tell yourself that this is going to work. Say it in the mirror to yourself, say it out loud. The first step on the road to success is believeing that you can make the trip. If circumstances change and ideas flow in other directions, go with the flow, thats how genius is born. Roadblocks are not there to stop you, they're there to challenge you to greater achievements. Losing faith in yourself is not an option. Keep on trying, if one thing doesn't work, try another and another until you reach your goal. Create a portfolio for yourself that is composed of some beautiful settings showing some of your work. Use your own yard if you have to, or friend's or neighbors or family members, but you have to show what you can do. And believe that you can do it. Your goal isn't just the web site but the reality of what you really want to achieve, so prove it first and show that proof on your site. johnliu, I am trusting my GC on the ventilation issue. Since it is under a covered roof, code & sense requires it be vented. I have been so obsessively focused on the indoor stuff, that this has been on the back burner. I need to clarify with him about what this ventilation will look like. I trust his integrity and knowledge, but I hadn't thought about how it would look exactly. Good question! Upon further thought on this whole space, I think all I really need out there is the grill and the sink. Maybe a stainless steel cabinet under the sink, a set of drawers for grilling equipment and kebob sticks, and a cabinet for trash. I think most of the designers are talking about a true "outdoor" kitchen, which I don't need. I just need an outdoor grilling area with counter space. We are big homebodies and have small get togethers with friends and family, so I don't need all that extra stuff for my lifestyle. Thanks for the extra gas stub idea. I think that's an ideal solution!

Here's some pic's of a recent pool with a cabana and a summer kitchen. This buyer really stepped up by having us install cable TV, AV receiver, DVD player, and surround sound. The best summer kitchens come with all the quality stainless cooking goodies like your describing for yours. The low burner you mentioned is called a Power Burner. It's a dual ring side burner that's dropped to a 12 to 15" lower elevation than the countertop. This is so you can manhandle the big pots required for you to cook your crawfish or turkeys in. Do you know what size of gas pipe your home builder stubbed out for you? Most home builders typically stub out a 1/2" galvanized or black iron pipe for the buyers. It won't deliver enough gas to satisfy the appetite of a high BTU 36" grill or a power burner. It'll still work for slow cooking, you just can't get the max BTU's the cookware is capable of delivering for grilling or frying. See ya, Kelly

Run the great room off the entire side or across front of structure. One position only for opening to bedroom and bath corridor. You have two openings to bedrooms ... not feasible. Don't you want to run the great room all across one side or the other w kitchen contained within....toward the rear, envision French doors to outside deck or patio. Use a table at a position within the great room that is an easy position for real use. There are lots of manufactured homes popping up w similarities...maybe you should have a look Instead of wrestling w something nearly impossible.
