infrared burner not staying lit

Hi all I just bought a gas grill with a rotisserie and I went to try it out and the infrared burner would stay lit for about 3 minutes and then it would go from glowing red to flames or it would go out all together I know the thermocouple is good because raw gas will still be coming out after the flames go out. Does any one have any ideas what is going on with what I have described.

Thanks in advance

If it is propane it could be the regulator, or if it's natural gas take off the regulator( I've found they can freeze up)

Here is a link that might be useful: a-z grills tips

I'll bet your getting propane from a bottle and the regulator is freezing. Can you say more?

Hello all the grill is natural gas. I tried burning it on low heat an it will stay lit for ever but if I turn it to med low the fire on the burner will go out, but raw gas will still be flowing just no flame. any ideas? I called the Brinkmann company and they said they will send me a new regulator but I tried to find the regulator but could not find one on my BBQ maybe they think I have a propane BBQ also

I had a Brinkman and it stopped heating enough to cook properly. I replaced the hose and regulator and even bypassed the side burner and it worked. It's still a piece of juck as far as I'm concerned.
