Outdoor kitchen BBQ - Vent Hood Noise Level

I hope I am posting this in the correct forum. We are going to be building an outdoor kitchen and our BBQ Grill will be under a covered patio which requires us to get a vent hood for proper ventilation. My question and concern is...Those who have Vent Hoods under a outdoor patio structure, how is the noise level with the vent fan on? Do you have to keep it on HIGH while BBQing or will it do a good job moving the smoke away on the LOW setting?

My vent fan in my kitchen, when turned up to it's highest level is very NOISY. Fortunately, I usually keep it on low. I just don't want to have my guests sitting there while this fan is blasting while we are BBQing because the dining table will be fairly close.

I would love to hear from those of you that have this scenario and could offer me their experience.
Thank you!

RE: Outdoor kitchen BBQ - Vent Hood Noise Level

Hi calynn,
We have an open air cooking spot. Maybe what you need is a low noise ventilation fan. Most fans have noise decibel rating at the back panel.
