looking for: planked salmon on bbq -- advice & recipe needed

Hi!
Some questions I have:

1) I have some small lengths of ~3/4-inch thick red cedar fencing (clean, untreated, rough). Can I use these to cook planked salmon?

2) Do you have a recipe for planked salmon?

3) Can I cook the salmon on the plank on a BBQ grill?
