A way to Clean grids on Member Mark Grill

Today I put the three steel grids from my grill into the kitchen oven. Turned the dial to self clean. Whala~Everything came off. Just white powder to wipe off!

I have wnted to try this but read somewhere that you shouldn't. Not sure where I read it though, I thought it was on one of the threads in here but I cannot find. Sure would like to try it though, anyone else try it without any problems.

I think I found the message talking about this.
Mine didn't come out of the oven shiney as they first were. Of course they were only shiney the first day prior to use. ha ha
But they were clean.
Afterwards I made my first grilled pizza with homemade dough.
Oiled the grates and dough and it didn't stick at all.
