Vermont Castings grill

I just posted on the CR thread, but we just purchased a Vermont Castings grill from Home Depot. CR rated it #1 in midsize grills. Does anyone have this grill? I had never heard of this brand, until I saw it at HD and then did a little research.

Vermont Castings is a company out of Canada that has been making home heating products for MANY years. The VC grills sold at HD and awesome performers, althought are more difficult and expensive to get parts for, and more than likely will not last as long as a Weber. Just my opinion, though.

I bought a Vermont Castings grill from Home Depot too. I think it is an awesome grill. I plug the back of the grill with tinfoil, and use one burner for slow cooking like ribs.I bought this grill for the three burners and a heavy cover. I would but this grill again.

The Medallion Grill is a private labeled product made by CFM Harris, They are a division of Vermont Castings. The grill has some great features and is essentially using the same components as the VC-75, only without a back burner.They also have there own tech support line so you don't have to call Home Depot if you have any problems or questions.

Thanks for all the input. Decided on the Landmann sold by Costco, less than $400 in the store. It went together easily and I need every one of the 577 sq inches. I don't feel good about the fact it is made in China and I am unlikely to be able to get parts if necessary - but I think it is a great value and I do feel good about buying from Costco. I purchased a Montpelier last October for a 1940's Dutch Colonial in Mass. It is a joy in every respect except just this week, after some hot coals fell out and my wife and I scurried to pick them up, the fan motor has begun really chirping like the fan is out of alignment or something. It still burns great, but the high pitch clacking of the fan is about driving me nuts. I can't seem to quiet it down. Any suggestions for a remedy would be greatly appreciated.
